Re: Diamond question

Diamond grades start at D (colorless) to Z (brownish). I would think that H is a very nice stone.

Re: Diamond question

Some people are just so miserable and jealous that they need to put anything and everyone down around them just make themselves feel better. H happens to be a very a nice stone ... the D stone I believe is flawless..... Doubt she has that ......

Did she say it to be a b*tch or because she was shocked and thought the stone shows closer to D,E,F in color?

Re: Diamond question

it's very hard to see the difference between D and H. if they are side by side in very good lighting, you might notice the D as being colorless. at the end of the day, who cares. she's engaged! i can't believe people say these things.

Re: Diamond question

Chat Icon who gives the specs of their diamond to co-workers??? I can see sharing that info with a close friend or family... but not at work.

unless of course you work in the diamond district Chat Icon

I can tell when a diamond is colorless, esp a "D". it's so white that it looks like ice

Re: Diamond question

that woman is ridiculous!!!!!

i happen to be very color-sensitive when it comes to diamonds and I CAN see the difference between a D/E and an H...but most people can't.

And what does it even matter?!?!

oh ok. I still can't believe someone would make a comment about an "H" though.

People are so mean and spiteful when they are jealous and unhappy!

Who cares about the 3Cs of the diamond - someone offered her his heart forever and she accepted!

Re: Diamond question

H is fine. You can definitely see the difference when they're next to each other. Put them against white paper if you really want to see it.

In the end, your co-worker was being a b1tch if she was laughing about someone's engagement ring.

Re: Diamond question

People suck.

My ring is an H, which you can tell if I put it right up next to a D, but otherwise you can't tell at all.

I never hold it up next to a D...or any other ring, for that matter.

Re: Diamond question

Please its not the ring that's important, its what it signifies. I got a ceylon sapphire for an engagement ring and people still make comments about it not being a diamond, its not their ring or life. Get over it and if that b**ch says anything else to you just say ask her does it really matter in her life?

Re: Diamond question

she was asking about insurance since the value of your ring is based on it - sneaky beetch. She should have just asked how much it costChat Icon

and an H is nearly colorless anyway, which is good.

Re: Diamond question

There's nothing wrong with an H! It will look white if the diamond has an excellent/ideal cut. You might be able to see a slight difference if it's right next to a D, but it's not horrible by any means! I've even seen J diamonds look surprisingly white when they are ideal cut stones.

My engagement ring is a G (excellent/ideal cut) and it's white enough for me! H is pretty similar since it goes DEF, GHI , JKL ...

Re: Diamond question

ew, what a beyotch!

i have no idea what my stone is but it's definitely not a D, but who asks anyway? that was sneaky of her to ask under the guise of being curious about the insurance... and so inappropriate, IMO.

what is with people comparing rings anyway? does a bigger/clearer/colorless stone mean your FH loves you more? of course not! so irritating...
