Baby food on an airplane?

Can you bring jars of baby food on an airplane? I'm nervous that they would crack or break open if I checked it.

I brought the plastic containers of gerber. I showed them at security- no worries about breakage. Edited to add- I also packed them in the suitcase and it was fine. Not sure if I would trust glass one thoughChat Icon

I've brought both. I pack the glass ones with lots of soft clothes and they were fine. They are heavy though, you might be better off bringing what you need for the trip as carry-on and buying food at your destination.

I don't know if they sell it in Aruba. When we went to CA, that's exactly what I did because they had supermarkets there and it worked out great.

I would stick with the plastic containers then. I think they're lighter than the glass ones.

Re: Baby food on an airplane?

We took about 4 glass jars of baby food on the plane from NY to FL, there were no problems.

Mail a package of baby food to the hotel before hand.
