what is the benefit of milk vs next step enfamil?

what is the benefit of milk vs next step enfamil?
I tried doing 1/2 milk and dd is getting diahrea. Why not just keep them on next step since it goes up to 24 months anyhow?

In my opinion, I would not have done next step until 24 months. I just don't see the point...its a LOT more money, and at some point your child will have to be weaned off it anyway..
If its a dairy allergy (you say DC is getting diarrhea from reg. milk) wouldn't it be from the next step as well? (it's cows milk based).
What I would do it try just once ounce of whole milk in the formula and slowly introduce the whole milk that way. Maybe your child just needs a slower introduction to the whole milk...

i am trying 2 ounces in an 8 ounce bottle... i think you have to go more gradual with the milk.

I thought Next Step is for kids that don't eat a lot of table food, so they still get all of the vitamins and nutrition that they need.
In any event, Steven had diareah for the first two days on milk. Now he's OK. He does have different poop, though.
