when it comes to britney......
some of you guys are absolutely HEARTLESS.
seriously. i've seen some of the MEANEST comments EVER here onthis board about this girl.
what has she ever done to YOU??????
the things some people say AMAZE me sometimes.
and it find it quite sad when people invest so much of their time to bash this girl.
she is human. she is a normal 25 year old, a mother of two, a flawed inidvidual.
leave her alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when i see threads with the subject line "britney" i know its going to be 90% nasty comments.....
not only is it mean, but its annoying, a waste of time and immature.

I have to agree. I am one of the people who feels bad for this girl. I hate how she is taking such a beating from the whole world. I mean this girl can't sneeze without it being on the news at this point. Here's my 2 cents.
Yes, I know, she's an adult and brings a lot of the bad attention on herself and she has made many mistakes, but I can't help feel that she is just a young women who needs help and love. I feel that she got too much too young and the lifestyle just kind of sent her over the edge. She got with Kevin because she had the need to be loved, and obviously things just spiraled out of control from there. I seriously hope and believe she can make a huge comeback, but not until she gets herself together.

Did she finish HS? Go to college? Start at the bottom and work her way up? Bust her butt to pay her bills ?? - WHAT is SO awful about her life that she 'Just needs to be Loved"?? Give me a break !!
She has made millions and millions of dollars as a PUBLIC figure. - That was her choice. -
As a PUBLIC figure you live your entire life in front of the entire world - Privacy is NOT in your vocabulary......
I feel bad that she is going through an obviously disasterous time in her life, and I definitely would not call her a "Normal" 25 year old by any strecth of the immagination -
but I don't feel bad for her in the sense that everyone in the world is weighing in on it - It comes with the territory, Everyone loved her and watched her rise, she made $$$$$$$$ off of it - Now everyone is going to watch her fall .....

i disagree completely. she's a public figure making money off her publicity. so whether the news about her is good, bad or otherwise she's out there for the public to talk about. nobody has to be nice to druggie, drunk, hard pAArtying (as Perez would say) mother.
i think a good example are the VMAs. it would have been great to see her rock the opening of the VMA's but she didn't and that was all her. so why does anyone have to be nice about her lack effort and the show she put on?

I think from our perspective life as a celebrity seems so simple, but I think there's alot more involved than looking pretty and shaking their azzes. She got in this business when she was like 16 years old. She may not have gone to college, but I know many people who haven't had to bust their butt in that way and are still not happy people. Money doesn't mean happiness. I'm sure she has dealt with things that we have never had to deal with (as we have had struggles she'll never have) and maybe she wasn't a strong enough person for this lifestyle. I really don't know, I mean I am defending this girl who I don't even know, but all I know is no matter what the reason, she is at what seems to be the lowest point in her life & I find it pointless to bash her.

she was shoved into the limelight as a CHILD. at 9 she was already on Broadway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ewfuardless, she actually does NOT make money off her publicity... at least, not paparazzi . the publicity she gets is often rendered from paparazzi... and THEY, not her, THEY get paid for that publicity. she gets publicity from some creepy pap hiding in her tREE!!!!! think about it... someone posted pics of her playing with her kids in her birdbath, she was smoking and the ciggy was close to jayden.... that ended up in publicity.... and BAD publicity.. who gets paid for that? the STALKERS aka paparazzi
im not saying she has made the best decisions in life, but some people really need to back off

as long as paps take their pics, and people keep buying magazines, she will be famous.
look at ppl like Paris. she has no job. she made an album and movie in which both bombed, but the paps insist of taking her photos, SO..... it keeps her famous.
they have more power than people realize.

thats because even the bad stuff is drawing attention to her, essentially adding value to her worth.
many people are celebrities as kids, and they CHOOSE to exit the scene. She has choices, she just makes the bad ones.
i feel *some* sympathy for her because i do believe that she has some level of mental illness, and is not being treated properly for it... but on all other accounts- no, not at all.

Exactly! BRIT is benefitting from the publicity... she is making money off of it, even if its not in the profit from the pap's sales as you were trying to state in your other post.

You make it sound like she feels stalked by the papparazzi. But most pictures and videos I've seen of her, she is absolutely EATING UP all the attention and publicity. Every time she is seen in the media, people assume she is important and that definitely benefits her. I do believe she chose and continues to choose to be a celebrity. She could walk away, but she doesn't.
I personally wish she would just go away and get her life together (maybe like go to the middle of nowhere and get the help that she needs versus traisping around LA with no underwear on), but it's really like watching a train wreck, you can't look away.

Yes, she's only human, but she makes her living in the public eye. And that has afforded her mansions, cars, more money that a lot of people will ever come close to ever seeing.
When she was on top, it was okay for everyone to be slathering her with tons of positive feedback. Now she's hit a rough patch and unfortunately, that makes the news, too. It's the nature of the beast.
Isn't this a forum for people to voice their opinion without being chastised?

as a new mom, I haven't been out to any night clubs. I haven't partied all night in Vegas. I have worn undergarments at all times when leaving the house. When she does things like this, IMO she is asking for it. stay home. get it together.
I do feel for her. I don't think she is the sharpest tool in the shed to begin with. At some point though, she has to take on the responsibilty and realize she has kids. There are tons of people much worse off then her. She has family that wants to help, a father of her kids that is in their life, roof over her head, food in the fridge...she needs to get her act together for her kids. She was a child star. Maybe she did not chose it, but that's what she was and that's in the past.

There's been quite a bit of speculation that she's made a deal with several photographers that she'll tip them off to where she will be and they share a portion of their payment with her. Obviously I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me.
ETA: And for the record, if she did broker a deal like this, good for her. She might as well make money off her own image.

she deserves what she gets she did it to herself. we didnt walk around with no undies, we didnt go to vegas and party while our nannies watched our kids. we didnt shave our head and bash an umbrella at a car. all we did is say shes a trainwreck, she needs help, etc. she does this to herself. maybe her parents started her young with acting and singing but she is an adult know and if she didnt want to be in the limelight she wouldnt be doing the things she does.
she was the one who hooked up with a guy who had a girlfriend that was pregnant. we cant make this crap up. she made that trainwreck of a show letting everyone know all about her life. so for you to say be nice give us something to say oh wow britney looks nice or she is getting her act together. its a celebrity gossip board what are you suppose to do on the board talk about crocheting and needlepoint???

Do I feel bad when I hear people commenting on her weight? Yes, because I've had a baby and I know how hard it is to get your body back.
Do I feel bad when I hear people say her kids were mistakes? Definitely because it's not their fault and I'm sure she loves them in a weird way.
Do I feel bad when she leaves the house with no underwear? HELL NO, you open yourself up to a whole world of ridicule, imo, when you are THAT famous and have the utter stupidity to do that.
Do I feel bad when people criticize her parenting skills? HELL NO. I would criticize ANYONE who was driving with a baby in their lap or dangling a cigarette over their child's head.
So, personally, I feel that hte things she gets bashed for might be a little excessive sometimes, but let's be real, she's opening herself up for a lot of this, and it's no one's fault but her own.
