For those who had the Epidural during labor..
does the area where the needle was placed get sore from time to time? I've noticed every now and then I get sore there, almost as if I'm getting the needle again.

Re: For those who had the Epidural during labor..
It hurt the next day and never again. Why don't you take advil or motrin to make it go away? That is what I do for my wrists when they really hurt.

It's never that bad..kinda feels like I was laying on a brick...LOL! but if it does get to that point I'll be sure to take Motrin.

Re: For those who had the Epidural during labor..
I guess it affects everyone differently. I told DH even with this I don't regret having it done. I'd do it in a hearbeat if I ever get pregnant again.

Re: For those who had the Epidural during labor..
Yes but only if I carry DS for too long (he's heavy) . I didn't have it the first time around but this time it does bother me sometimes. My OBGYN did tell me that I might feel sore their for about 6 months and I might notice it more when I going up the stairs.

Re: For those who had the Epidural during labor..
Yes, and at times it was really bad. My dr. said to take motrin or advil religously for 5 days to get rid of the inflammation. That really helped (that was about 8 weeks after) It still bothers me from time to time but not as bad. He said in most people it goes away by 3 months, others can have some discomfort for about a year.

Re: For those who had the Epidural during labor..
Since having DD and the epidural, if I sit for a while, I am uncomfortable when I get up. It takes a minute or 2 for my back to get in the swing. It is a lower back pain so I assume it's from the epi.
