I am SO proud of myself

I just told off my brother. This is the one in VA. He just emailed me to complain about how I'm changing everything and he can't keep up, and can't help out now.

So, I emailed him back and told him exactly what I think of him and my other brother.

Anyone wanna see? It's pretty good. I'm patting myself on the back. If this destroys whatever little relationship we had, so be it.

Re: I am SO proud of myself

Ok, but be forewarned, it's LONG!
-----------------------

Well, unfortunately that's just how it is. I'm trying as best I can these last two weeks to set something in stone, but things happen, and we just have to work around them. The fact is the furniture cannot be delivered on the day we set, and having it delivered on Tuesday instead is just cutting it too close, that's why I have to push it back to the prior Friday. I'm doing the best I can with coordinating everything but it's not easy.

I know it's inconvenient, and a pain, but if you think it's difficult for you, try to step back for a moment and imagine how difficult is has been for me and (DH)? We have Dad living in our house for 10 months, making his meals, doing his laundry, transporting him to and from dialysis, driving him to apartments to pick a place, taking him furniture shopping, etc. We are both making sacrifices left and right, not just for personal committments, but for work as well. I didn't see my daughter yesterday at all because I spent 6 hours of my day taking Dad furniture shopping.

Keep in mind, too, (DH) is doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He has taken countless days off from his work to help YOUR father. And, at this point, because I spent so much time visiting Dad at the hospital, and taking care of other stuff related to him, I have NO paid time off for the rest of the year.

I'll tell you this, I'm starting to feel very frustrated and angry at everyone in this family for letting this burden fall on my shoulders entirely, and spill over onto my husband. It really shouldn't have to come to the point where I have to *ask* for help, and then get slack from EVERYONE about how I'm doing things wrong. I'm disappointed and ****** off. This has been the most difficult year of my life, and I've just about had it, I really have.

If you can help, great. If you can't, we'll manage on our own.

Good job!!

Although I'm sorry it had to get to the point where you had to put him in his place. Considering all the stress you've been under, I'd say you were easy on him!

I don't want to give anyone ammo to turn it around and say I was mean, or hit low. I want to maintain my grace, tell it like it is without being immature, and then it's totally on them.

I guarantee there won't be a response.

Would you believe he told me that he can't come help me out because he's helping his girlfriend move her dad? PRIORITIES!!!

Never gonna happen. And they stand to inherit quite a lot of money. When they DO inherit it, I'm going to tell both of them that if they had a conscious, they would donate at least half to the American Diabetes Association.

Your dad won't change the wills?

Maybe it's time you told him how his sons are behaving.
