Bjorn vs. sling

Ive found the bjorn to be the only place my dd will stay during the day other than directly in my arms... which is great because I can move around and get things done. But, I can only get her in and out of it when DH is around because it is so difficult with her squirming........... does anyone have any tricks..... or should I just go get a sling..... is that easier to put the baby into?

TIA

Re: Bjorn vs. sling

I have both - I find DS to be more comfy in the Bjorn sofar.

My Bjorn totally unclips all around the sides so I can easily get DS in and out by myself ... Chat Icon

Re: Bjorn vs. sling

I bought a sling and DS was totally crunched into it. His head was falling forward. I hated how he was in it. It looked so uncomfortable.

He is a big baby though.

Re: Bjorn vs. sling

chances are good if she likes the bjorn already, she may not like the sling. DS was in the snugli (same thing) first and when I tried a sling on him, he hated it. She may be squirmy, but maybe try putting her in while sitting on the floor or kneeling by the couch so if by chance she did fall, it wouldn't be far and would be a soft place. You may want to try a wrap...BRU actually sells one (i bought it), the ultimate baby wrap. it takes longer to get it on you, but there are no buckles/straps to adjust once you put the baby in, it's all sliding her in basically. the upside to the wraps: the weight is distributed better and it won't kill your shoulders and back nearly as much!
