Re: belly button piercing
Yep. I had a barbell and it came out pretty early, in the 20 week range.
It looks horrible. I probably should have taken it out sooner. Although I know some girls (chelle, I think) kept theirs until they were pretty close to delivering?
Do you have a ring? Just pop out the bead and thread the ring out. If you have a barbell just twist off part that twists off and slip it out.

Re: belly button piercing
I had to take mine out. It got so stretched & it is the only place I got stretch marks. I am convinced that it would have been fine had I taken it out before it was being pushed out. Anyway I just rubbed some soap on it & slid it out.

Re: belly button piercing
Well, I UNfortunately left mine in til about a week before I delivered. It was fine up until that point and then WHAMMO... it split... it was raw... it was NOT FUN. I should have taken it out WAY earlier than I did and now that it's out So not pretty.
I'm hoping it'll heal and eventually look semi normal.
My advice... DON'T do what I did and "think" it's going to be ok. Better be safe than sorry and take it out before anything happens. There are specialy piercings you can get for the belly button while pregnant. Many girls have posted about it.

Re: belly button piercing
I took mine out around 7.5 mos and repierced it myself 3 days PP. I bought a pregnancy barbell but it was getting uncomfortable with my waistband so I gave in a took it out. Only a very thin layer of skin grew on top and it was easy to get back in.

I took mine out early, around 13-14 weeks. I didn't do anything to it. It closed up, but you can still see the mark.

Re: belly button piercing
I didnt do it until my belly started pressing against my pants and getting uncomfortable. I know some ladies that kept it in the whole time though....

Re: belly button piercing
I took mine out when my belly started getting bigger around my 5 month when I was pregnant with Julia, it came out no problem, didn't get an infection.
