We definitely want to send our kids to sleepaway camp-- but at $9000 per kid per summer who knows if we can swing it.

I went to my first sleep away camp when I was 7! I did have my older sister there as well as family friends kids there too. I went to sleep away camp until the summoer after I graduated 6th grade. My kids wanted no part of it! My youngest step son that I raised since he was 8 months old went to a one week sleepover camp and was so upset because he thought we were trying to get rid of him! He never went again and my girls never wanted to.

after working at a camp for many summers, i think i will keep my kids home from summer camp. i loved my summers going to the beach with my mom and sister...those were great memories that i want my kids to experience
