I've had a few things like that happen to me. I believe there are no coincidences and you were suppose to answer your phone and hear what you heard. I hope it brought you comfort.

I am a Sylvia Brown fan and she always says that the phone is a common way our relatives that have passed contact us. She says too that alot of the times, the phone number that comes up on the caller ID will look weird, like missing a digit.
My DH got a incoming call on his cell phone recently that was 2 digits... it was a missed call so he never answered it but I think it was his Aunt that recently passed.

That was exactly what I was thinking.
The irony of it all, was that my Dad hated to talk on the phone. He was a quiet man. I am obviously more like my Mom.
