"Boyfriend" in the Seventh Grade?
I don't remember what I was doing in seventh grade, but I definitely didn't have a boyfriend...
My brother Julien (12 y/o) in seventh grade has his friends over right now to celebrate the school year coming to an end...
...I'm keeping an eye on them, and they all just settled down to watch a movie...and what do I see? Cuddling going on between two of his friends!
Am I just too old school or have my head in the sand, but would anyone else have been taken aback by this? Or is it just me?

I had one at 13..we cuddled..
oh, and my 15 y/o nephew tells me that they don't have girlfriends...they just hook up now.

I remember having an 11-yr old boyfriend when I was 12. We cuddled and bear-hugged, that was about it.

I had my first bf in 6th grade, but we didnt even hold hands.
In 7th grade I have my 1st "real" boyfriend and I had my 1st kiss.
I was 13 and he was 16.

I had a "boyfriend" in 5th grade - we talked on the phone and went to the graduation dance together.
But then I can't remember having another boyfriend until freshman year of HS!!!! I must be forgetting something!

I had a boy "ask me out" in 7th grade but my mom said I was too young!!  All through JR and SR high we had this attraction to each other but it never came to anthing else.

I had my first boyfriend in the 7th grade. He gave me his gold Giants necklace to wear to show that we were "official." I thought it was the coolest thing ever. We broke up a week later

I didn't have a boyfriend then, but I wanted one!
Other girls had boyfriends in the 7th grade. I actually thought I was a freak, b/c I didn't date untill the summer after 10th grade.
It's different when you know them though. My cousin wil lbe 15 next month ad I can't imagine him having a girlfriend. He still seems so little to me!

You don't even want to know what the 7th graders are doing nowadays!! It's a lot more than just cuddling (and this is just in school - lord knows what they do at home)!!

i worked at a sleep away camp and i was a bunk counselor for 6th graders.
this was 10 years ago and these girls did some heavy stuff w/ the boys. i'm sure it's much worse now w/ all the hyper sexualized media these kids watch.

ETA: But a more "serious" boyfriend came along in 6th and 7th grades...from then on it was downhill lol
