Leaking fluid??
Okay....I am such a nerd, but how can you tell if you are leaking fluid, or if it is just alot of discharge? I already know it is *supposed* to smell different, but I don't have the best nose and can't tell if it's different or not......
I have been feeling really wet down there for the past 2 days, but am not sure if it is something I should mention to my docrtor today or not.....

If it's more than normal I would tell your doctor. It's probably nothing, but just in case...

Mention it to your dr.
It could be urine (yes!!!) or sweating a lot more. You may have more discharge too towards the end.
Honestly, I don't know what smells what, if anything is different. I just ask the dr. when I have a question.

I am going through the SAME thing right now. I was freaking out a bit last night thinking that I was leaking fluid...but I think it's just urine b/c it has a strong ammonia smell (tmi, sorry).

I ended up at the drs last week b/c I thought I was leaking - I spent tuesday in L&D for contractions so they were concerned that I was leaking. I had some fluid leak down my leg - it was just discharge not urine - but it had no smell so that is why they were concerned.

I just saw this in the DVD DH and I are watching. If you are 'leaking' amniotic fluid (instead) of the gush you are supposed to smell the fluid. (Gross I know but that's what she said.) No odor means your water is slowly leaking (vs. the gush), odor means urine or vaginal discharge.

I am always wondering this too, especially since it's been so warm out. Lately that's all I do is question if it's amniotic fluid  My question is what if we are leaking fluid and don't think it's really that for a while-- what would happen? Would something bigger or more significant happen? And do you have to lose your plug before you can leak fluid?

WHen my water broke and I was leaking fluid I could feel it rushing out in small bursts....kind of like when you sneeze and your bladder is full and a bit escapes...only there's no sneeze.
If your fluid is leaking - that's pretty serious.
