sorry Rach. I know my mom always said that it took her a week to get us back on schedule after spending a night with my granparents, so I very nicely remind her of how that felt and would LOVE for them to not put me through that too. So far, so good. BUT, I definitely have to say things repeatedly to my parents before they actually sink in. I feel like once their youngest (me) turned 18.....they forgot everything!

Give you parents a break, they don't know if her crying is the same as what you hear or if the baby is afraid because mommy isn't around. Sounds like they love her very, very much and you are lucky they are willing to give you an overnight break. You know some of the disruption and change of behavior is just to be expected from the separation even if they did exactly what you do...

Honestly, while I see where you're coming from, this IS me giving my parents a break. Rather than complaining to them, I came here to vent. I'd rather YOU think I'm being ungrateful than my parents think I am. I'm allowed to experience frustration, and I'm allowed to be angry. While I definitely think I need to see the other side of things sometimes, I needed this post to vent.

so sorry Rach! I def understand where you are coming from which is why I wont and havent let my inlaws take Jacob overnight since the day he was born.
I have worked too hard to get him where I want him and I am not willing to sacrifice that.. even for ONE night!
I dont mind waking up at 7am with him every single day as long as I am able to sleep thru the night uninterrupted!!!
Hope miss Ava gets back on track quickly.. much hugs and sleep vibes to you and your beautiful baby girl..
