My saga continues-Update inside
I had my weekly appt today. I thought I had lost a pound. Turned out I lost 3 pds. Making it 7lbs lost this month alone. So the pressure is on for my GI doctor to figure out how to get my stomach working so I can digest real foods. So far I take in maybe 700-800 calories per day since I can only digest a handful of foods. My doc basically said if they (GI) dont have a solution I will get the feeding tube and he will put me in the hospital. The only good thing is baby is measuring 18.5 weeks and I am 18 wks 1day today. Heart rate is 160 and she is really active.
ETA: Back from GI Appointment. He prescribed trying Reglan again since I havent had it over a month. The bad news is that this condition will get worse as I get bigger. he did not beat around the bush. He said I am possibly looking at delivering earlier than 37-38 weeks. He also said my stomach is not pumping food and even delivery may not help getting it working again. I am looking at possibly having a gastric pacemaker installed after delivery if they cant find the right combo of medication. Trying not to stress but its alot. Both my OB and GI doctor said I have been by far their toughest pregnancy case.

I feel for you. I lost 40 lbs. when I was pregnant with my first . Lost 20+ lbs. when I was pregnant with my second . The babies were just fine tough, they take what they need from you.
Much and for a healthy remainder of your pregnancy.

Neither do I. My doctor said I am probably his most difficult case in 21 years.

awww hang in there
I thought of you when I saw the girl in the hospital with me this past week. Poor thing hadnt even had a sip of anything in 15 days
She had a total TPN and was getting IV everything. She couldnt even swallow a pill
She was 9 weeks PG and had lost 20 lbs in less then 4 weeks.
there are some severe Hyperemesis patients and its so sad to see.
I may complain I have had it for almost 30 weeks now, but at least its not as bad as I have seen in the hospital.
Stay strong, hopefully it will pass soon for you.
The dr's did say to her, the most severe of cases are proven to usually never last the entire pregnancy , so hopefully that gives you some hope.

Sweetie has the dr. (GI) said what they are going to try to treat you with as an alternative? Seems like the baby is doing ok how are you feeling especially after the slip scare?

I am leaving in a few minutes but so far they said Reglan-problem with reglan is that I have become immune to it due to having it already for hyperemesis. Both GI doctors are stuck on the J-tube which is another form of TPN/feeding tube. I'll let you know wheen I get back later tonight.
