what are they because my dd SCREAMS everytime. The dr told me to add in the foods bc my daughter can eat more then 10 ozs of formula in one sitting meanwhile she cant handle the food. DR told me to do bananas, squash and carrots...this just isnt working out for us.

Re: non-Gassy baby foods

Banannas are constipating for most babies. It may not be the actual food, but the combination of foods. Are you giving her the same food for 3 or 4 days? That is essential to know what foods work with her. This is what we did:

Carrots
sweet potatoes
squash
apples
pears
peaches
bananas
prunes

I try to mix binding things with things that tend to make them "watery." So, now that I know how he reacts to the foods, I will mix bananas with his oatmeal and give him apples on the side. Carrots and peaches. Sweet potatoes and pears, etc.

Maybe it's not the food but the cereal. Maybe if you just give her the rice cereal.

Good luck! I'm sorry this is happening.

Re: non-Gassy baby foods

How are her BM's? Soft or hard? Carrots, squash are the least gassy foods, but I noticed when DD's Bm's are hard or formed, she's more gassy and uncomfy.

DD has constipation and gas issues even now at 11 months old.

We only give her peaches, pears, berries, squash, carrots and peas (peas are followed by mylicon), and chicken and turkey. Sweet pototoes on occasion, but pototoes are binding. She does have a little tablefood, but her diet right now is mostly formula. She's been on Oatmeal since 6 months.

Highly gassy foods are anything green and applesauce, bananas have fiber, but for us, they lock her up.

Maybe that little tummy isn't ready yet for solids. Chat Icon

OK, this is my suggestion, but I am by NO MEANS a doctor or a professional, LOL.

Stick with just giving her the oatmeal. You can try to mix in a little bit of bananas. And just do that for a little while. She really doesn't know if she is getting a variety or not, so it doesn't matter.

Ditto. She's still so small Paulette, so as she gets bigger and her body matures, she will be able to handle those other foods a lot better. Ava used to get gassy from any green veggie, but no longer.
