Jury Duty Questionnaire: I have to hand it in person
I had received them in the mail under my maiden name but had no idea they were mandatory.
Until the letter I received today.........I have to go to court in person to hand deliver my questionnaire, or if I dont, I get arrested. ***!? And its a possible fee of $250 Has anyone had a penalty for this?
And Im going away last week of April. I have this funny feeling Im going to get served to attend jury duty during the week of that vacation. I just know it. I know everyone is entitled to a postponement, but I dont know if I lost that privelege b/c of the questionnaires I never fillled out and mailed.
Anyone get in trouble like me??

Re: Jury Duty Questionnaire: I have to hand it in person
I dont know about that
BUT in a conversation I had with a friend of a State senator the other day,I was told that you do not need to return the questionairre at all!
She said as far as her last 5 questionairres are concerned " They were "lost" in the mail.
I was like
I applaud her ballsiness!
ETA- oh wait I just re-read and realized you have done that already! OOPS I probably would call and ask for a postponement since you have plans. They should accomodate no matter your past because you are allowed 2 I believe

Fh had to go in and ahdn it in. That's literally all it is, you just hand it to someone and leave.
Some non-jury duty vacation vibes for you ETA: Reminds me of the "lost " Avenue Q song
"Tear it up and throw it away, throw it away, throw it away. Tear it up and throw it away so that you and I can play.
No one's ever gone to jail, gone to jail, gone to jail, do you know anyone who's ever gone to jail because something got lost in the mail?"

Never had that before, but I postponed twice and they havent called me back. That was 2 years ago.
