UPDATE: gtsgirl's (stacey) husband checking in after surgery
Hello all!!! I just wanted to give you an update on my wife Stacey's surgery. We took her in Thursday morning to have a cyst removed from her ovary - the surgery started at 10:45 and by 1:30 we finally heard from the surgeon. It went perfectly!!!! She had a mass the size of and NFL football (surgeons words) removed from her abdomen. They took the ovary as well because the cyst had encompassed the ovary. But she came through like a champ and the baby did amazing as well. Al of our prayer were answered!!!!!! Now on the road to recovery - Friday was a long day with her having many ups and downs dealing with the pain and not being able to keep any food in her stomach - but she is a fighter and by he end of the night she was eating crackers and keeping them down. Today she was back to her old self! Chatting away and smiling non-stop. It broke my heart when they took her away on the stretcher to go to surgery and it broke my heart to see her in the recovery room right after in pain, shaking and helpless. I have been with here every minute ever since she came out and she is so upset with me that it took so long for me to post on this web site. Well it looks like she will be back home tomorrow and we will be one step closer to getting back to normal. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!! It means the world to Stacey and I and it helped so much - there was even a few people that went above and beyond to send many PM's and really be there for all of her questions. I'm not sure who you are but Thank you! OK - its late and I must sleep. Thanks again everyone!!!!

Hi everyone. Its Stacey..I'm home and feeling OK..its hard to move around and do stuff but my recovery is going well. I have a war wound (a 7 inch incision down from above my belly button to my pubic area). I get my stitches out on Thursday and he is going to put steri strips so the scar isnt bad and my it will hold better with my belly growing..they stitched me rather then stapled me which is good. I felt the baby move for the first time the day before surgery..now i'm feeling flutters which I am so thankful for. I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes..they mean so so much to me..The cyst was so big they had to send the whole thing to pathology so we will have the final results hopefully thursday and then we can move on finally from this..its been a long road..but now i'll be able to enjoy my pregnancy. Actually its funny because my belly is half he size now..he said i had a twin cyst in there hahahaha.Well i'm going to rest now..Thank you again for everything..!!!!!!! P.s. I read my husbands post and It made me cry..he is the bestest..I love him :) just wanted to add that :)
