St. Charles Info
I saw a few of you posted that you were looking for info on delivering at St. Charles so here you go....
Visiting hours are: Dad's 10a-10p Grandparents- 2p-4p General- 7p-8p
**Dad can stay overnight ONLY if you get a private room. The private rooms ae $250.00 out of pocket per night and are first come first serve basis. They only have two.**
The baby is kept in the nursery only at Mom's request and during general visiting hours. Otherwise the baby is in the room with you.
They do a lot of nice things for couples like a buffet dessert bar everynight in a lounge so you dont feel stuck in your room.
They have strict security regarding who is even allowed in the wing. They demonstrated this on our tour. I felt good about my baby being protected.
I posted yesterday that I had a "dry run" in L&D on Monday night and I absolutely adored the staff and care I recieved. I feel confident that I am delivering at the right hospital for me.
Good Luck Ladies!

Re: St. Charles Info
You rock! Thanks!!
Glad you had such a great experience there!!!
It's just still odd to me that you can't have YOUR baby in YOUR room with you during visiting hours if you want to. I'm sure it's to keep the babies as germ-free as possible or something, or it's a security thing if you're sharing a room with someone, but still People want to see the baby!

I was a little disappointed with that too but I also dont plan on being there for a prolonged amount of time so if that's the worst part, I can easily deal

Re: St. Charles Info
I'm delivering there too in May..I knew most of this..but does this mean siblings can only come during 7pm-8pm?
if so that really stinks..since my son is still so young...
its so ridiculous that you can't have the baby out when visitors come..
having had my son here in florida last year at Arnold Palmer it was awesome! the baby was allowed in your room at all times and any visitors allowed at all hours up until 8pm..all rooms are private
