First off, I'll say a quick prayer for you tonight that the infection doesn't get any worse and that Joseph's MRI is over quickly.
Secondly, this is not pointless whining. It's venting, and it's better you get it out here than let Joseph see you upset. Pointless whining is when I b!tch about my MIL knowing full well she's never going to change.
Finally, Joseph is so handsome! Looks like you had a great trip to Disney with your family.
