Test Results question
Does an OB/GYN office generally call you if the results of a test are okay?
I got home today and received a message saying it was "non-urgent" and to give them a call. Now I called and had to leave them a message, they also say if you call back after 3pm they will not return your call until the next business day.
I called around 1:40, but who knows if they left early for the holiday. My stomach is in KNOTS. Should I call and speak to a receptionist??? I cannot wait until Tuesday to find out what this is all about

Re: Test Results question
Mine typically doesn't call if everything is normal but sometimes will call. But every office has different policies. If they said its non urgent I wouldnt' even worry.

Re: Test Results question
Did you hear back from them yet??
First and formost, try not to worry (easy to say, I know, I worry about everything )
My doctor's office typically doesn't call me if everything is fine, but then again they are bad about calling in general
Your message did say "non-ugent" so really that is a good sign .
We are so close together, month wise, so I will share my experience. The nurse at my doctors office called me this past Tuesday with a similar mesage on my work voicemail (non urgent, call us back) and it was regarding the bloodwork they did at my first visit.
What happened wtih me is that they told me my progesterone was borderline low, and that they wanted me to contact my pharmacy to have them coordinate getting me started on supplements ASAP .. After the nurse initiall scared me to death, the doctor called back and assured me this was pretty common and not to worry, they just wanted to be safe and get my levels up
Hopefully this is something similar with you, and they aren't too concerned , jsut wanted to inform you of your results and if anything looks borderline 'off' perhaps
GOOD LUCK, keep us posted!

Re: Test Results question
I know its hard - but try not to worry, my Doctors office calls me with everything. They like to keep me informed. Which is one of the reasons I go there. The message did say "non-urgent" so I wouldn't panic!

Re: Test Results question
Okay, they called and it was just to say that all my prenatal bloodwork came back fine. I feel so much better At least I know for the future that they will call. I was worried I was going to have to wait 3 days.
Thanks for your support.
