Def investigate this. Please call the ASPCA(aspca.org) and report this to animal cruelty.
Also, contact the Suffolk spca.

DH doesn't think we should do anything more.
He spoke to the vet he loves there and she said maybe he just was throwing himself around the cage because he was mad
How the h*** could he have done that

No offense to DH, but if they are allowing your dog to come out in this condition then I think it does not matter what he likes.
PLEASE report this. If it was your child (heaven forbid) would he be as tolerant?
I am so sorry that you even have to go through this, but not reporting it will mean this or worse could happen to someone else's precious baby.
ETA: Even if the dog was thrashing in the cage, then a kennel attendant should have addressed the problem or even sedated your dog to prevent injury. Either way it is negligent.

Your poor baby!! I cant believe that happened to him. I would definitly take some type of action toward that vet!

you DEFINITELY should do something about this!!! no offense, but i can't beleive your DH is being so complacent about it.... something obviously happened to your dog there- whether he did it to himself, or they did something to him... either way its negligence on their part, and they SHOULD NOT be allowed to do this to another animal.... i'm sorry, but i just can't beleive you guys are considering doing nothing about this.....

Poor baby...I can't even imagine how damaged he must be. Please give him extra love and kisses to make him feel better. I agree with Deb, you may have a problem with seperation anxiety after this.
And of course, I also think you should report this kennel. I couldn't imagine that happening to my dog and ignoring it.

I am speechless, that is disgusting of the kennel! I am so sorry for your baby. I would definitley pursue this further, especially for the sake of other animals that are staying there. I hope everything turns out ok and he gets better asap!

Wow. That is incredible. Poor dog! Definitely looks like some type of bruising. I wonder if the dog got in a fight with another dog or something and they just aren't telling you the truth.

Oh my god, that is terrible. I have noticed small bruises like that on Bella, but only after her playing at the dog park for hours, and NEVER that large!!! I can't imagine your dog getting bruises like that from being boarded, that is crazy!! I would look into it further!!

UPDATE: OK So I have done everything on my own. DH feels that if we can't prove they did something then what do I want him to do
Whatever.
I filed a complaint with BBB and I stopped payment on the boarding services they charged us for. Today I am going to look into more options.
Obviously Bailey will no longer be going there for the vet or boarding
He is still not himself. I am going to bring him to another vet today to make sure nothing is going on internally.
He can't even bark his voice is so soar. I guess from barking so much at the kennel

so glad you are dong something about this!!! sorry your DH isn't with you on it, though. thats usually how i am with things like this, too... like ' don't rock the boat" kind of thing. BUT, in this case its really obvious that something happened to bailey while he was there, and the kennel needs to be held accountable.... keep us updated!!

I hate to say this, but to me that looks like he has taken a beating. He looks all bruised.
I would definately take him to another vet and report the boarding kennel to the ASPCA as soon as you can.
Poor Poor baby that is just awful. I do hope he is feeling better soon

Good News. His bruise is going away very fast and he is almost back to normal. He is now very skiddish over everything though.
I just can't stop thinking about everything that probably happened to him.
