I just got yelled at by a manager
Im always getting sick. But i cant call in sick to work every time or else id never be at work.
Anyway, i have a sore throat and almost no voice but its month end and this time of the month i work 10-12 hour days to get everything done.
I feel that if i called in sick today i could have gotten "wriiten up" or even fired. So i come to work and am doing my work not talking to anyone (bc i dont want anyone to get sick). A manager calls my extension to ask me a question and i can barely speak bc i have no voice.
He then comes to me and screams that
its completely wrong for me to be at work today.
So then i say, well ill go home then.
You know what he tells me.... No dont go , We need you now. THEM WHY DID YOU JUST SCREAM AT ME.
I almost cried right in front of him

I'm in the same situation (w/month-end) - I requested off and my boss denied it stating "it's not fair to your teammates who have to pick up during our "busy time."
I'm sorry you had to go through that Jess - I would honestly start documenting as it may turn into a harassment.
Also, as someone with a terrible immune system - I end up using vacation days when my sick days run out. You may want to speak with Human Resources and getting a doctor's note to protect yourself.

I will document it. He is a mnager I rarely have contact with.
I do bring in a doctors note everytime.
Im a newbie. Ive only been here a year and im the youngest so i always try to cover everything.
Thank you. Seems me and you both have sucky immune systems.
