anyone ever had a wisdom tooth pulled???update!!

i have to go in the morning!!!

So it's done. i had to get two pulled instead of one. i had a hottie dentist and he was extremely nice! i am very sore but not too bad! thanks everyone for their experiences!

I've had all 4 of them pulled (2 at a time). The first time I foolishly only took novocaine (ouch! ) The 2nd time I got knocked at, such a better experience!

I had all four pulled. As long as they are not impacted it's not bad.

I did the same exact thing. Go under completely!!! It's not that bad if you go that way IMO.

I had one out with just some novocaine and no epinephrine because I was PG! It wasn't bad at all, but it was a straight pull and not impacted. I have never been out for a dental procedure.

i had all 4 impacted and got them done. had them give me the good drugs and had no problems. make sure you take the meds they give you after for infection. i stopped two days early and ended up with an infection that was nasty. expecially if they are impacted. i was eating pork chops the 2nd day after. good luck.

mine was impacted and i only had novacaine and it was horrible!! and i tell you this will all the deepest love and support that a sister can have!!

i did two weeks ago, it didn't even hurt - coming out it did and was a tough one - "very gnarly at the roots" according to my dentist but then i didn't even need pain meds!

i was put out. they took all 4 out.

it hurt for a few days. i ate a lot of soup!

Yup two at once, and they just numbed me, didn't put me under, and believe me you cannot feel A THING! It takes like 4 hours for the numbing to go away though, so be prepared to not be able to talk, and to drool alot!

ETA: Afterward it didn't hurt, it was just sore, and the meds helped alot!

i had all 4 taken out, 2 at a time, all were impacted and under the gums.

For some reason the bottom two came out really easy, i still have the teeth :)

The top ones though, the doc couldn't get them out whole.

I hate going under so novacaine for me both times.

It wasnt' so bad at all, I didn't even take pain meds afterwards, just alot of swelling.
