Does anyone wonder...why we are not pregnant?
I was sitting down havign htis conversation with coworkers-almost everyone had an issue getting pregnant right away. A few got it the first shot but they were not the majority. I wonder why even if you BD at the right time, Ovulate on schedule-why does it just not happen. Animals gointo heat all the tiem and get pregnant just by BD

Re: Does anyone wonder...why we are not pregnant?
so many things have to be right besides it being the correct time in your cycle... an egg might get fertilized but then there are many things wrong with the zygote, like chromosomal abnormalites so, the pregnancy doesn't develop..

Re: Does anyone wonder...why we are not pregnant?
A woman stands a certain percentage of conceiving with every cycle. It changes according to age and other factors. I believe there would be a lot more children in this world if a man and a woman conceived a child each and every fertile period.

True- I meant more along the lines of us on the TTC board. The ones who are researching the variables and trying to create the optimum environment for conception. It just seems like even if you are healthy and do all the right steps there is always somehting that could be off

Does anyone wonder if all those years you took steps to prevent pregnancy were for nothing?
Until recently, I just thought I did a very good job of preventing pregnancy for the last 15 years. Turns out that I can't get pregnant now that I want to. Maybe all my efforts were for nothing.

I have a friend at work who uses no protection...the only thing she does is track her ovulation/fertile period and thats it. She's never been preggo and shes 27-prime fertility age...

Re: Does anyone wonder...why we are not pregnant?
i think about this ALL the time. i have 28 day clockwork-regular cycles. my luteal phase is in the normal range. i always ovulate on the same day each cycle. we've BDd at all the right times. my mother got pregnant her first month trying. my sister got pregnany in her third month trying for each of her 4 children. this will be my fifth month of trying. WHY AM I NOT PREGNANT? i try not to, but i can't help but think that there's something wrong with me that just hasn't been diagnosed. i'm very pessimistic for some reason

YES! I feel better by telling myself that its not my time yet.
I don't believe in fate so much, but it makes me feel better. That there is a plan.. and Im just an early arriver.

Honestly, I think there are going to be odds even with the optimum environment. It stinks, but thats the way it is.

Re: Does anyone wonder...why we are not pregnant?
it IS going to happen...i think alot of it is also is because we want it so much and i do think that pschologically that adds pressure even if we think it doesnt. I got a BFN and AF this month but I swear when i looked back at my 2ww, i realized from my notes the nights i had bad sleep and weird dreams was the nights i would have been implanting according to Fertility Friend AND the next morning i woke up with 3 cold sores - very NOT common for me??

i O on day 16... what did your doc mean by that? do you think i could have a luteal phase issue? my LP is technically in the "normal" range (12 days) but for some reason i've suspected that it may be a problem all along. i'd appreciate any input you could give.
