So my mailman sent me a holiday card...
does this mean he's fishing for a tip or just wants me to have a happy and healthy new year?
Did this ever happen to anyone?
I guess I will be leaving him something tomorrow.

i didn't get anything from my mailman, but i did get a self-addressed envelope from the nytimes delivery guy

We got a holiday card from the garbage men. We gave them money before Christmas as the same for the mailman.

I get a holiday card from the garbage men that wishes us season greetings as well as states that if any of their customers intend to leave a gift for them, to please mail it to them b/c of theft. Understandable.
Our postal carrier leaves us a Happy Holidays/Thank You card when we leave him his gift (aka $$$).

My parents Newsday delivery person did the same thing.
We must have the same delivery people, they did it to me too. And then I got another tip envelope this week! I will not tip the paper people,a good # of times got a very wet paper and complained after about 6 times and then got a nasty letter in my paper, I used to tip them every year... not anymore.... my best friend had the same people and they threw the paper into her light outside and broke it, she never tipped them again either.........

I usually tip him during christmas time cuz he usually takes my mail for me. He then leaves me a christmas card. I guess it's a way of thanking me!
