i went through this district and bought a house here.
it's a great district academically and athletically. they have a lot of different programs and always have excellent test scores (which to me, as a teacher, doesn't always mean much!)
there are 3 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 HS. all are pretty equal and you can't go wrong regardless.
there are parts of east rockaway, hewlett harbor and possibly VS that are in SD#20

Moved here in April, no kids yet, but we primarily decided upon Lynbrook based on the feel and the reputation of the school district. I love it so far!

My stepdaughter is in the north middle school. The elementary school was AWESOME, every teacher was special, the programs were great. The middle school has had some changes, I wish I were there to help my stepdaughter more.
Overall, its a great school district. My husbands ex has lived there since she was born & has desire to live anywhere else.

Glad to hear that from people who have experience there. We just got accepted on a bid for a house there.   We've done all the research and have heard great things, but I like to hear it from people in the know.
