 your christmas tree
Do you stick to a theme and get real Martha Stewart when decorating your tree or do you just mix it all up?

 Re: your christmas tree
mix it all up. But I think the theme trees look beautiful. I wish I we could do one but then we wouldnt be able to use all our ornaments.

 Re: your christmas tree
Mixed up - old family ornaments, stuff we get on trips, ornaments we get as gifts...as long as there is no plastic, and it doesn;t bow the branch to the ground under it's weight, it goes on!

We adopted a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! We weighed it down with randomness to make it feel special.

 Re: your christmas tree
Totally mixed. I space similar things out and put favories at the front, but it's all mixed. I don't like trees that are all one color or themed nless it's as a second tree. I prefer to collect all o the different sentimental ornaments throughout the years. At my mom's house it's amazing how many different things we've collectged over 35 years. Stuff my sister and I made in pre-school to hallmark to lenox, to weird stuff from the 70's. You gotta love it!

 Re: your christmas tree
at my Mom's it was always mixed up, but this year I will be doing my own tree and I am doing a theme! I am doing bright colors - pink, purple, green and blue and lots of shiny gold and sparkle!

 Re: your christmas tree
Mainly red and gold theme.
I'm sure when we have children one day we will dress it up with more sentimental ornaments as well.

 Re: your christmas tree
We do mixed.
When I moved out, my mom gave me all my ornaments from growing up, and we have a lot of others we've collected throughout the years.
As much as I love the look of a "themed" tree - I like victorian a lot - I just wouldn't feel like it was "our" tree if I didn't use the sentimental ornaments.

 Re: your christmas tree
we mix it up... i loved that growing up, too. we had ornaments from everywhere! i LOVE decorating the tree and remembering the story behind each ornament ( so-and-so gave us this one, "i made this in preschool", we got this one on that vacation",etc). last year, DH and i were still getting settled in our house and we didn't get a tree BUT this year i'm hoping to get some of my old ornaments from my mom to use on our tree

 Re: your christmas tree
I guess it's themed, although I kind of thought of it as more traditional. It's decorated with red, gold, silver and green, with white lights.
