Backhanded compliments - VENT!
Convo with admin asst yesterday:
Her: Jackie, you look thin. Have you been losing weight?
Me: Yes, thanks for noticing. 
Her: I mean, you were always thin, but then you put on some weight, and I was like, "what's going on with her?"
Convo with coworker today:
Her: You're looking thin!
Me: Thanks!
Her: I know, you're getting ready for the pregnancy!
ARGH!!!

People are idiots - a COMPLIMENT is "Hey, you look great"
NOT "I noticed you lost weight, you had been heavy for awhile, you look SO much better" etc etc etc. -
