There is a buyer for every house. This house is not meant to be bought in any condition. The price is just an ask..they can ask whatever.
The right buyer for this house is looking for the lot. Plain and simple. Buy the lot for 200k or 250 and knock it down. Build a mcmansion on the property and either live it in or flip it.
An investor may want this.
yea, the lot is a good size and that area is decent. but lets be honest, it's a knock down house. if the mold is coming through the wallpaper in the bathroom, can you even imagine what the rest of the structure must be like?  $150K - $200K for the lot might be a good deal.

I agree, DH and I have contemplated taking a look and making a very low offer. I would love to knock it down and build something new.

It is way over priced!! I mean extremelly!!! It needs to be knocked down. You can't live in that!
So its $369 for property in Ronkonkoma. I don't care if its close to Smithtown, it is not Smithtown.
Now you have to pay to knock down the house, and then build a new one.
Its alot of money!!

Exactly. Although, I wouldn't say the house is unsalvageable! yes there maybe a damp problem in the bathroom and the toilet is obviously disgusting and the kitchen needs help...but seriously, the apartment we bought earlier this year was/is in similar condition (barring the boarded up windows). It's amazing what someone with time and money can do to a place like that. I really don't know about the pricing, as I'm not that familiar with the Long Island market at the moment, but I'm sure someone will buy it for the right price.

I really don't know about the pricing, as I'm not that familiar with the Long Island market at the moment, but I'm sure someone will buy it for the right price.
I've seen worse.
on the first or second page I posted a cheaper colonial that was not boarded up (same SD) - i am more shocked about the price than condition- it should be $269.

I don't get the point of posting those pics at all.
BUT on the other hand, it reminded me of my "former" tenant who left without notice our appt in that shape. Especially the toilet!!! Great memories. You will understand why we hired a cleaning person and did not do it ourselves.

WHY the potty shot?
not exactly going to matter to investors and it certainly won't bring in the house buyers (those who would want to live in it)
