Arrest of Gilgo Beach killer!
I can't believe it! I am so interested in hearing how this came about. I wonder if the remains found in West Islip yesterday are somehow related to it. The timing is so coincidental. Happy some of these families will hopefully get closure.

He was charged with 3- they are working on the evidence for the 4th.
But it's not over. There were more bodies, so we'll see where that leads.

It really was a disgrace! I think the first thing that broke the case under this task force was the first generation Chevy Avalanche. They had that information at the beginning of the case, but it took until this task force for it to go through the data.

In my opinion Burke or someone else covered it up. Burke was known to seek the services of sex workers and I heard he had a baby with one. Idk if he had anything to do with these murders directly but I wonder if he didn’t want any info about his “activities” coming to light. I also think Burke and Spota and serving time so would not surprise me.

I think he acted alone but I don't think it's possible that he is only responsible for those four women and someone else murdered the others. If there was a strong enough connection I think they would be charging him with the other murders. There were 11 bodies found in total. Shannan Gilbert seems to have been ruled an accident and wasn't him so that leaves 10.

There are a lot of people who think Burke was the perpetrator. It is also likely that there is more than one killer, given that all the found victims were female sex workers. There was one child and one man. Given that the current suspect was only indicted for 3 murders (with a possible 4th upcoming) - it is possible that those are the only 4 of these (LI Beach) victims he is responsible for.
