Communion/Flower Girl Dresses
My DD is going to be in a wedding this summer - she is 7 so a lot of the flower girl dresses I see online are too young for her.
Where did everyone get their DD's communion dresses from? That would be more her sizing. Just looking for something simple and ivory.

Communion/Flower Girl Dresses
Once the Easter dresses are in the stores (maybe already?), you should be able to find a pretty dress in most stores. If the bride isn't particular regarding what she wears, you shouldn't have much difficulty, IMO.

Re: Communion/Flower Girl Dresses
I keep seeing people posting pictures of their daughters at this place Buttons and Bows where the dresses are upwards of $400 and the kids take a picture with an "I said yes to the dress" sign. It's insane.

I agree! I refused to buy into that when my daughter had her First Communion. I actually bought her dress at Burlington Coat Factory for $29.99! She looked beautiful.

My church actually had to make an announcement to the parents at one of the Communion meetings to please not use bridal limos to arrive at church and please no personal professional photographers in the church. I was waiting for someone to ask what they should do with their bridesmaids in that case.

I have seen that as well and I think its totally nuts.
Pink Princess looks to have a few that might work and the prices are great.
No need to spend 400 on something she will wear once.

Buttons and Bows, beautiful, well made dresses and the experience is spectacular.
They do have simple dresses, my daughter is a Tom boy and we scoured the internet looking for a dress and the only one she liked was at Button and Bows.

Buttons and Bows is where I would say 90% of my clients bought their dresses from last year. They are absolutely beautiful if you are looking for fancy!

Re: Communion/Flower Girl Dresses
I am not sure where you are located but Barron's at the Tri County Flea Market in Levittown has a good selection for decent prices.
For flower girl, the bride specifically wanted a dress from this Etsy seller so I ordered it from there, but my DD hated it- it had sequins on it that itched the crap out of her.

I was going suggest pink princess.com also. That’s were I got my DD her communion dress.
So many reasonable priced ones. Hers I think was $70 after tax.
I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars for a dress that’s worn for maybe 3 hours max

I used to pass a store on Merrick Rd all the time that sold special occasion dresses. It must have been in either Wantagh or Bellmore. I think it was called Charlottes?
ETA there was also a store on Merrick Ave. not far from the Merrick train station but I can’t remember the name.

I got my daughters dress here for $65. She wore it for her 1 hour communion and then spilled her entire juice on it at brunch.

Our priest said this too before DS1s communion.

Yup they did that too for both of my kids. People just go over the top.

Re: Communion/Flower Girl Dresses
We bought DD"s Communion dress at either Macy's or JcPenny. It was under $60, I didn't want to spend a lot. They had a nice selection though.

I honestly don’t remember how much the dress was. I know we did pictures which cost $400 but we got communion and “glamour” shots in the package so we got a lot.

My DD’s communion is next year. We live in a really stuck up town and now I kind of want to show up to church in a limo with under lighting and DD fist pumping out of the sunroof.
