The holidays are almost here and despite the fact that one particular item is more a gift for the guys than it is for their gals, lots of “lucky” ladies will be getting at lease one. I’m talking about holiday lingerie, which means lots more than just exchanging glances or a few kisses under the mistletoe.

But, with all the holiday festivities and sensational seasonal selections, most of us may find that we’ve added a little extra holiday packaging to the gifts we’ve been graced with. And, it’s not likely we’ll want to strut our stuff in our new negligees or in the buff.

Still, experts suggest that feeling confident in our skin goes beyond the pleasing packaging.

Accentuate The Positive: And we’ve not just talking about enhancing your best assets, but instead about enhancing your mind, at least how you see and think of yourself. While it is certainly highly recommend everyone stay physically fit, experts suggest begin on the road to self-improvement and a better you by beginning to believe in yourself, as you are, not as you “want” to be, even if your ultimate goal is getting there. Learn to appreciate yourself and your body during each phase and enjoying the fact, that despite your imperfections your partner thinks you’re pretty special and sexy.

Develop Your Magnetic Appeal: Let’s face it, for most of us, even achieving “our” perfect body may not put us on the map with the body we’d “like” to have. So, while it’s certainly important to look sexy, experts suggest that it’s more important to feel sexy, which often, but not necessarily, go hand-in-hand. They point out that a confident self-image is just as important in grabbing attention as long legs and a short skirt. In fact, you’re partner is likely to enjoy your “time together” if you look like your like yourself and are having a good time too.

Shift Your Focus: We all have parts, even the most perfect among us, that we just don’t like. And, it’s likely we want what we don’t have. But, rather than “wasting” all our time on nitpicking about our imperfections, experts suggest focusing instead on the areas that get the seal of approval. In the meantime, the suggest trying to learn to love the body parts you have, even the imperfect ones and finding something appealing about them. After all, they are part of who you are and why your mate “picked” you.

b>Develop A Healthy Outlook: The best way to feel good about YOU, is by not only looking good, but also feeling good, and that often means also taking good care of your health. Make sure you get enough sleep, eat plenty of fruits and veggies and fish, drink plenty of water, and get in some physical activity. Just knowing that you are on the right track can help you feel better about yourself and your body and this alone, note experts can be enough of an incentive to keep you on a mission of self-improvement.

Embrace What Makes You, You: Everyone has some trait or characteristic that stands out and sets them apart. Identify what yours is and lean to like your unique and special qualities, it will make it easier for you to also accept those attributes that you don’t like. They add find things about yourself and your body that bring you joy and not on things that you don’t like.
