Isn't there alot of itching associated with lice??
and I do my daughters hair all the time, and I'm always checking.

By the time they're itching it's already too late - they've hatched. As much as you do your daughter's hair unless you're looking at every strand, you aren't going to find it. I still remember my mom going through our hair in sections after someone at camp got it.

With lice bites come itching and scratching. However, the itching may not always start right away - that depends on how sensitive your child's skin is to the lice. It can sometimes take weeks for kids with lice to start scratching.

I've brought my kids home from a party - and 3 or 4 days later gotten calls that one kid had cox sackie, stomach virus, etc. It just comes with the terrority. IMO it's no reflection on the host or the mom of the kid with lice.
