gordon heights
curious if anyone has looked at homes in this area or have lived in/near that area...does it just have a bad rap or is it a legit. (w)rap...

I have NEVER heard good things about Gordon Heights...I have only heard bad things..like drugs, prostatutes(sp?) and shootings

GH is a division in Coram that runs up to Middle Island. I grew up in Tanglewood Hills - another (much nicer!) division in Coram and always hated the rap Coram got all b/c of GH.
Crack houses, prostitution, murders - it isn't pretty.

FH worked for the department of labor where there was a program for kids that were about to get expelled/had already been in jail/etc. and he got gordon heights one year.
Most of the kids were in gangs/had older siblings/parents in jail, etc. Not a good area.
I can't remember if it was when he worked there or in Riverhead that some crazy crack addict prostitute lifted up her skirt as he drove by with the kids...

I grew up in coram...the W-section... and it was nice..but Coram has such a bad rep just becasue of GH...
It really is a bad area!!!!
