The Childrens Place - how do their sizes run?
Big, small, fairly accurate? And a question - is 2T the equivalent of 24 months? Thanks ladies!!

Re: The Childresn Place - how do their sizes run?
hey maria! ok as you know dd is fairly chubby....with that said....i think childrens place can run fairly accurate if not a little roomy for her although a lot of ppl on here say that they felt childrens place runs small i didnt see it....and 2t i believe is longer than 24mos and fits a toddler body rather than an "infant" at 24mos....I THINK

Re: The Childresn Place - how do their sizes run?
I find hem to runa little bit large I guess. My DS is 19 months, weighs 25 lbs, and is in the 18month clothes. He is slim though, and I have the problem of things falling off, but then the smaller size is too short...so hard. But when inbetween what size to get, when it comes to childrens place, I go with the smaller size. Except for shirts, cuz I figure its okay for those to be too big anyway...and they shrink.

Just FYI, they don't carry 2T just 24 months & then they jump to 3T.

Small! I buy the shirts and size or 2 bigger. Pants I can usually go with true to size.

In my experience they run big. DD is 18 months old and still fits into their 12-18 months clothes.

Same here, pants run true to size or maybe a tiny bit small for DD. Their shirts definitely run small on her. Their dresses seem to run true to size but dresses have leeway.

I agree! Their shirts tend to shrink so I get them bigger. Also, look at the pounds for the sizes. I find they run differently than some places.

Thanks Jen! Athan starts daycare in June and I wanted to pick him up some stuff. He is already in size 24 months - but they vary greatly! Osh Kosh runs small on him (snaps around his "little" thighs always unsnap) but Carters stretchy pants run big. Ugh. I may just have to go the store and try some stuff on. to K!!!!!

OK good! At least I know what 24 months is I am assuming though 2T would be the equivalent of 24 months at other stores?

Osh Kosh is the same for dd....run muchhhhhh too small....i know its expensive but if i always wait for sales and then a percentage off, the gap is awesome for dd bc although it can run big u get really good use out of the clothes....and like i said childrens place is pretty good too...good luck and happy shopping lol.

Re: The Childrens Place - how do their sizes run?
DS is super tall but thin.... He's a whoppin' size 2T at almost 7 mo old...
He has a lot of children's place clothes. It's wierd. size 18 mo is a bit too short, yet size 24 mo is still too long (have to cuff the pants)... For tops, he's easily a 24 mo... could even be 3T.
I agree with others, the tops run small.... but to me, the pants are a bit roomy (both length and width). Carter's pants run smaller IMO (especially in length).

I agree. Also, their jackets run kind of big. I know DD is in 3T with TCP clothes but still 2T in Gymboree and Gap.

in my experience...small... I agree. I buy 1 size larger,
also, they do not carry 2t there, only 24 mths and then they go straight to 3t.

Re: The Childrens Place - how do their sizes run?
I just bought DD a pair of pants size 6-9 months and they are way too tight around the waist! And she is only 7 weeks old!

Re: The Childrens Place - how do their sizes run?
I find the pants are pretty true to size or run a bit bigger. DD is 8 mos & about 22 pounds & still fits in the 6-9 pants but they are getting short. The tops run small for me cuz she has a big belly. I have been buying 18 mos tops for summer & 12 for now, which is right on target for their weight ranges but I still feel the tops are narrow for he big belly!

Re: The Childrens Place - how do their sizes run?
I think they run big. The 24 months is like a 2T. Even with the adjustable waist the 24 month pants do not fit my son. Just for the comparison he is already growing out of 24 months at the gap.

To me they run a little small. DS is 3 months and wears 6-9 months in their clothes.
