POLL: Chocolate brown accent wall - are we crazy??
So DH and I are trying to decide color schemes. We have most of the place down and are onto the bedroom.
Here's what we're thinking:
Pale blue-grey on three of the walls (the wall with the door and the two adjoining walls, one of which contains both bedroom windows) and painting the far wall, which is the largest wall in the room and also the wall that the doorway faces, in a chocolate brown.
Is that nuts?
(If anyone is so inclined to go to BM and view them, we're thinking something along the lines Woodlawn Blue and Clinton Brown or Van Buren Brown.)

I know this will shock you Lori, but so is mine (fine arts major)  But I don't trust him enough to know about it on a wall

chocolate brown & blue are great together. We used chocolate brown accent stripes in our basement, the rest of the walls are a mocha colr & we have light blue accents.

I like brown and blue together. And I love accent walls. We did a deep wine accent wall with a lighter pink-toned beige on the other three walls and we were really happy with it.

Upon further consideration - he suggests you use a color with a little more blue than gray in it...and a milk chocolate brown color
i personally love brown and lightblue together.....have many dresses like that!

I know, that's what made me think of it but I haven't seen it on a wall, ya know? I suppose we can always just paint the last wall blue if we really hate the brown but going from brown to blue would be a b!tch, esp since we'd have just painted it brown.

I wish I could link to the colors I'm thinking of. It's got a greyer base but it's definitely a blue blue. Light, but blue nonetheless. But maybe not blue enough?
This is going to drive me batty!

I would definitely lean towards more of a turquoise ... not NOT turquoise but more of a richer blue and a chocolate brown.

Hmmm. I can see that point against the brown itself BUT not so much with the color furniture.

Not neccessarily. I actually love the idea of a chocolate brown wall. I think BM makes one called Coco or something like that.
