HG sympathetic prenatal care in Nassau County?
Can anyone recommend a woman prenatal provider (midwife or OBGYN) who is experienced with treating hypermesis gravidarum in Nassau County? i.e. Someone who won't be at all hesitant to prescribe medications until we find something that works to alleviate my 24/7 misery.
I live in Great Neck. The closer the better. Similarly, short wait times would be great, as I have a wee toddler who needs me...plus it'd be nice to avoid puking in a waiting room full of other expectant moms.
I will be moving to the Hudson Valley in May or June, so other details like place of delivery aren't important. I'll be switching to a midwife after my move. My wonderful first born's midwife (Susan Brockmann) retired from her Southshore practice last year.
This is my second HG pregnancy.

HG sympathetic prenatal care in Nassau County?
i had HG and took zofran the entire time. I didn't go to anyone special, though. Just had my OB prescribe it

Not all doctors are the same. Not all are kind, knowledgeable or understanding. (My first imbecile OBGYN told me to toughen up and eat ginger and crackers.) That's why I'm asking for specific recommendations versus having to time consumedly and frustratingly shoot in a barrel. I'm also still breastfeeding, so prefer someone who is ultra knowledgeable about medication options. Zofran doesn't work for everyone and comes with it's own issues.
You are very lucky that zofran worked for you and that all you had to do was "ask".

i actually didn't even have to ask lol- i was just vomiting nonstop and ended up in the hospital. That's when my dr said there was a medication called zofran that is generally pretty safe. He said alot of studies you read on google about it are not at all common, so he felt very confident that it would be OK to take. A friend of mine had it in an IV/fanny pack thing for her entire pregnancy because her HG was so bad.
