A Tentative Intro....
Hi, I am posting here with some nerves...but I am optimistic. I am 6w2d with our second. My DD is 5 and was conceived without any issues. We had 3 losses in 2012 and 3 failed IVF cycles last year...and we are now pregnant as a result of a monitored cycle with Dr. Kofinas. He diagnosed me with a genetic thrombophilia, put me on medication and I was pregnant 2 months later. I am still stunned but encouraged by the sono and heartbeat I saw and heard yesterday! I am due in November and look forward to being here!

I've heard wonderful things about Kofinas, so it sounds like you are in great hands.

Thanks everybody! Yes, I've been on Metformin 2x a day since Dec. I'm now also on Prednisone, Lovenox, progesterone & about 6 or 7 supplements/vitamins. It's a lot but I am so grateful that (knock on wood) they are helping.
My RE told me to go off of Metformin back in Dec, he said there was "no reason" I should be on it.

The drug overdose sounds about the same for me lol. Yes Kofinas overdoes it a little with the drugs, but the man is a genius and in this case I say more is more!!! You're in great hands! Happy and healthy 9 months to ya

Thanks so much! I feel like I am in great hands too. I will take all of the meds and vitamins he tells me to take....I still can't believe I am even pregnant! It's truly surreal.

Congrats!!! My pregnancy is the result of Kofinas and I'm still with them. Like you, I was on a ton of medicine in the beginning but I got weaned off a lot of stuff and I'm down to just lovenox, prenatal, and extra folic acid. You are in great hands, wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!
