For those who did gradual intro of milk into soy formula...

did you do 1 oz of milk at a time or 2??

I put 1 oz of milk in his bottle this AM.

DD was on soy formual...and when I introduced milk, I didn't do it gradually...I just switched cold turkey. I think she outgrew her milk allergy, because she was eating cheese and yogurt without any problems. But, since she was already on the soy formula...we didn't switch to a milk based one because I didn't want the hassle of switching.

What about just giving him soy milk. DD has a dairy allergy but is BF. She has been having a cup of soy milk everyday for about month now with no problems. I do try the milk every once and while and she is still allergic.

well...he's been fine with cheese and things made with milk.

With DD we did a gradual intro...1 oz to 7 oz of soy formula, and every few days increased the amount of milk and decreased the amount of formula.

I am just afraid of going straight to milk

I switched my DS gradually. He was BFd and could only take Soy when I stopped. The regular formula gave him so much pain and gas. I was scared about the milk also but he was fine.
I pretty much went by 1/4's over a period of a month. First week was 1/4 milk 3/4 soy formula. And I just let his system get used to it and upped it the next week. He had no problems with it but he didn't like it cold.
