Anti-biotics?
Hi ladies!! I am sick with an ear infection and sore throat. My reg doctor put me on the z-pack and my OB said ti was fine.
I was hoping to make it through the entire pregnancy without using anything. Anyone else have to go on anti-biotics?

I had to go on anti biotics at 5 weeks due to UTI my dr put me on KEFLEX saying that it was safe enough for the baby's. I'm now 8 weeks and 2 days and everything is good aside from my horrible m/s.

I did for 5 days for a UTI. it was fine.
i forget which one though..amoxicylin maybe?

I have, a couple of times  BV, that needed 3 rounds of Anti-biotics and one for an ear infection. I always check meds and stuff on Safefetus.com :) Its Interesting at least :)

I was on a zpack about 1.5 weeks ago - 28/29 weeks.
I didn't want to take it (wanted to get through this pregnancy with no meds too) but it helped my cough and aches/pains. I suffered for 5 days and then took it b/c I wasn't getting any better with natural remedies.

Twice this pregnancy I have been on the
Zpack for a sinus infection. My OB prescribed it for me and said that its fine.

I also had to take an antibiotic at 5 wks (augmentin) for a UTI - this was so unlike me and I was really upset about it but, hey - what can you do - its much worse to have an untreated infection. Anyway, I am now 18 wks and everything looks great and all my tests have been perfect  It's hard but please don't worry.

I have been through two rounds of zpack, each time for sinus infections. Per my OB, its ok to take the zpack. Also, during my last pregnancy, I was on antibiotics about 4-5 times - everything turned out fine.

I am on the zpack now. I waited 4 days to go on it. I am on day 3 and feel so much better. Everyone said it was safe!
