Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

I'm just about out of my first trimester so I feel comfortable filling this out.

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

Tracked on fertility friend and used OPKs.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) O-day and two days prior. DH wasn't feeling well that week.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) 10dpo with the faintest line.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
prenatals, laying down afterward, and mucinex. I took it for nasal congestion but it did loosen CM alot!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

OPKs, CM

2. What was your BD schedule?

-2, -1 - just two days around O time!

3. At how many dpo did you test?

BFN 9DPO
BFP 10DPO FMU (also positive in the afternoon)

4. Anything else that might have contributed?

destressing and just going with the flow. instead of BD'ing our asses off, we decided just to focus around O time. We literally only BD two days in 2 weeks and it worked! WINE - helped with relaxation during the week around O and implantaion, seriously. Lots of sleep, staying well hydrated.

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temp, OPKs, etc.)

OPKs, CM

2. What was your BD schedule?

cd37, 39 & 40. i think i o'ed on cd40.

3. At how many dpo did you test?

Very Faint BFP 10DPO at 9pm. Line got darker at 11-14dpo.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?

It was out first time trying after my 2nd miscarriage in august of last year. we took always a year off because i wasn't emotionally ready. I really didn't expect it because my cycles have been really long for the past 2 months.

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temp, OPKs, etc.)

Kept track of my cycles on Fertility Friend; Checked for EWCM

2. What was your BD schedule?

BD the night I noticed EWCM (saw the fertile CM in the afternoon at work); then BD 2 days after that...so we only BD TWICE the month I conceived!

3. At how many dpo did you test?

Dark BFP right away 1 day before AF was due-12 DPO

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Originally I was going by the days that FF gave me; but after noticing my cycle wasn't always consistent I started checking CM. 2nd month doing this the EWCM was blatantly obvious!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temp, OPKs, etc.)

I kept track of my cycles on PinkPad...and this was my first cycle using OPK's. I used the internet cheapies then confirmed with the smiley's.

2. What was your BD schedule?

We BD from day 10 every other day for about a week. I got a positive OPK thurs night at like 11pm...and did not BD again until saturday and sunday. So we BD CD10 CD11 CD12 CD14 Positive OPK CD15 and then BD CD17 and 18.

3. At how many dpo did you test?

I got a super faint BFP 9DPO...but I wasn't sure...and retested again 10DPO and got a slightly darker line and confirmed on the digital

4. We also used pre-seed this month ever ytime we BD

This was our first cycle really trying...and I think pinpointing O date and using pre-seed really helped!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

Um... everything? Lol fertility friend, opks, cbefm...

2. What was your BD schedule?
that particular month we BD on CD12, 13, 15, 16 & 25
i got my positive opks on cd 15 & 16

3. At how many dpo did you test?
if i count cd17 as 1dpo, i got a positive on the FRER at 12dpo. It was in the evening, definitely not FMU. I confirmed with a digital at 14dpo, followed by bloodwork.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
prenatals + extra folic acid, as per my NP. And clomid... we were in the beginning stages of infertility treatments.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
opk and temping

2. What was your BD schedule?
this month my cycle was completely out of whack. we only bd the day before ovulation and the day of ovulation.
i had planned on doing it more often, but the first day i took the opk it was positive (it was a week before i usually ovulate so i was in shock) and it left us without many options...but it only took twice!

3. At how many dpo did you test?
BFP 10dpo am and pm

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I started taking b6 this cycle bc my cycles were very long (35+ days) but my LP was very short (9-11 days). The only thing i did different was the B6 and i somehow managed to ovulate on cd17 and shorten my cycle to a normal 29 day length

I hope this is not premature (can you tell that I am a nervous wreck?).....here goes...

1. What method did you use to TTC?
In the past we used opks, temping, and following and recording bd and ovulation on pink pad app, but this month just used pink pad app.

2. What was your bd schedule?
In the past I have used every schedule you can think of....Deanas Plan, every other day...etc. This month we just relaxed and only bd'ed 3 times during week and a half around ovulation. I for sure thought we were out!!!

3. At how many dpo did you test?
I am not sure because I wasn't using opks or temping. I poas 2 days before my period was due and nothing, then poas 2 days after period was due and voila....BFP!!!

4. Anything else that may have contributed?

In the past I used mucinex, prenatals, b6, evening primrose, and standing on my head :). We saw an RE in March to be evaluated and after being told I need to lose weight and quit smoking, I did. I lost 20 lbs and have been smoke free 3 months. This month I just relaxed and NEVER thought it would happen!!!! I did lay down for about 10 to 20 mins after peeing.

I downloaded an app on my phone (womanlog) and it gives you an estimate of when you should ovulate. We BD'd 2 days before & 1 day after I supposedly O'd (I wasn't really paying attention this month). If the calendar is correct, I tested at 13dpo

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

OK so now that i've been to my first prenatal appointment and saw my little baby's heartbeat, I finally feel more comfortable filling this out!!

1. What method did you use to TTC? Used a phone app to track fertility and ovulation

2. What was your BD schedule? The month we conceived, we BD every other day starting right after my lmp, every day (except one) during my fertile week, and then every other day after that!! Alot of BDing, but it worked!!

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I tested the day before my missed period, at 13dpo and got a BFN. Tested again the day after my missed period (15dpo) and got a BFP!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) It was just our second month TTC so we hadn't used anything yet. Bought a basil thermometer and mucinex, but didn't need it!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

I'm 16 weeks today, so I finally feel secure enough to fill this out!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

We had IF so I had Lap surgery to remove endo, then took Clomid to ovulate

2. What was your BD schedule?

The week I ovulated I had one IUI and we BD 8 days in a row bc I decided not to use OPKS anymore since they never worked for me, and figured if we BD 8 days in a row we were bound to hit O at least one of those days!

3. At how many dpo did you test?

I started testing at 8dpo but didn't get a positive till 12 dpo and it was extremely faint, could barely see it

4. Anything else that might have contributed?

Only thing else we did was use Preseed every time we BD

Good luck everyone!

!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

Figured out when I should ovulate based on 28 day cycle.

2. What was your BD schedule?

Every day for a few days before I ovulated, the day I ovulated and two days after.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

Every day beginning 10 dpo. Got BFN every time until the day my period was due (14 DPO). Got a BFN the morning of 14 DPO, extremely faint positive the afternoon of 14 DPO, darker positive 15 DPO, positive on a digital at 16 DPO.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

Nothing

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

Before my tube issue I had no problems conceiving. I used the ovulation calendar on webmd.com to get my fertile days. We would have bd all of my fertile days including ovulation day. I would take daily prenatals as well as drinking 2 cups of red rasberry herbal teas. Like clockwork I would test a week or so later bfp .

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

My first two were just plain luck, so this is the first time we really had to try.

I had my IUD removed, and got my period two days later. Pretty heavy flow. It was the first period I had had in years, because I didn't get them with the IUD. I started using OPKs a few days after my period ended, but only like every other day at first. At about CD 8 I started doing them once a day in the afternoon. I got a positive on CD 11, right after we BD'd. I BD'd again the next 2 days. Didn't work, and that month I had a very light period.

For the next cycle, I started testing twice a day a little earlier. Maybe CD 6 or 7? I also started temping right after my period stopped. My test lines went from non-existent every single time, to almost positive the night of CD 10. The morning of CD 11 it was very positive. We had BD'd on CD 9, and we did again the night of CD 11, and that was it until several days later. I also was checking my cervix and CM this cycle. I really wasn't finding the EWCM, so bought the pre-seed lube. We used that when we BD'd on CD 11. The morning of CD 12, my temp went much higher, and stayed that way, so I was pretty sure I O'd on CD 11. I noticed changes in my cervix, too. I didn't think it worked though. Didn't really have any symptoms, and the lack of EWCM and a very light period made me think it was going to take a few months. I tested on 8 and 9 DPOs with BFNs. I tested the night of 10 DPO and got a positve!

Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

I used OPKs but missed it the month I got my BFP. I also started temping but it was my first month and I didn't know what was doing. I put my legs up in the air after BDing.

2. What was your BD schedule?
cd7, cd9, cd10, cd13, cd14,

3. At how many dpo did you test?
dpo6 and it was a very faint line...dpo7 i got 2 faint lines and a positive digital. the doctor said my O might have been off (but I was temping so I doubt it). I've been measuring almost a week ahead though so anything is possible.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I really think my legs in the air with a pillow under my butt helped. In August I got a BFP and I did that (ended in a chemical). Sept I did not use the pillow and nothing. I used the pillow in October the day I Oed and got the BFP.

Good luck girls!!!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. I used OPKs- CBE Digitals and got my smiley face on CD 16 which is VERY RARE for me. I normally get a smiley around CD 18 and don’t O until CD 20… this time it looks like I just caught it and O’d on CD 17

2. We BD on CD 12, 13, 14… took a break 15 lol!! Then BD 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. We always BD a lot so I didn’t want to stress out about sperm.

3. 9 dpo- Negative but I felt pregnant because my nipples never got sore after O’ing and I felt “different” I got my first positive on FR 10dpo and confirmed digital on 11dpo. My period was due 13dpo.

4. I take Omega-3, Vitamin E, and Calcium everyday. Since getting my BFP, I have switched to Women’s One A Day and plan on getting a lower dose of Omega-3 b/c my current one was like 600mg.

This is where I think we may have missed it-- I got my pos opk on cd 14 but BD that night only-- couldn't after bc DH was working :/ We BD a ton cd 9,10,11,12, then 14. I think I should have done it more after :/
