Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

Couldnt wait to do this!!!!!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
Temping and CBEFM

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
6 days straight after getting a high reading on the CBEFM

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
14DPO, 2 lines- 15DPO digital- yes

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
This time around I didnt do a thing except take prenatal vitamins, only used preseed once instead of everytime, didnt follow all the things I was doing the 3 months before. But I did wear my fetility braclet everyday, never took it off. Had fertility candles and dust/powder and also a stone. But most of all I prayed!!!!

For me also I didnt stress so much about it this time, didnt look into every little thing, was totally relaxed. I said when its gonna happen it will and it didChat Icon Trust me it is easier said then done but, I did it.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

I guess I can do this again Chat Icon

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
I temped, used OPK but most importantly I started using the Clearblue fertility monitor which is awesome!

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

Started Chat Icon on my first high day on the monitor which was CD10 then again CD11 (peak day) skipped a day and did it again on CD13 (high day)

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

started testing on CD10 and got my BFP!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

Nope. After my MC I decided to not take a gazillion things. I realized that when I got pregnant last I slacked off majorly and got my BFP so this time I did the same. The only thing I did was my prenatal. I did use preseed but only because I dry up rather quickly Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

--I tracked my periods for over a year for other health reasons. I knew about when I was O-ing and planned accordingly.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

--We gave it a few extra BDing times during the peak times for Oing.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

-- 10 DPO, 13 DPO, 14DPO = negative
--15DPO = BFP!!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
I didn't do anything extra but start prenatals the month we started trying. So 2 months before BFP.

I can't believe I never filled this out!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

I used tracked my cycles on FF (but didn't temp) and used the digital OPK's

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

We BD every other day starting on CD7, then once I got a smiley we BD that day and the following two days.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

Negative at 9DPO and positive at 10DPO on the internet cheapies.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I took prenatals forever. It's weird, but I just had a different feeling through this whole cycle. My past cycles had been anywhere from 32 to 75 days and my smileys came anywhere from CD19 to 30. Chat Icon This month I was super hormonal from the very beginning and had a feeling I should start the OPK a little early. I was right, I got a positive on CD15! Oh yeah, one last thing...I had a LOT of wine and cocktails during the week of ovulation! Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

I used OPKs for the past three cycles. The first cycle trying we just winged it.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

The first month we just BD'd mainly around O time. The second month we BD'd 8 days in a row around O time. Third month we did every other day. This past cycle we did every other day until O time and then we BD'd 4 days in a row.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I tested first at 10dpo and got a BFN. Tested again at 13dpo and got a BFP.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I've been taking prenatals since a month before we started TTC. This cycle we started using Preseed for the first time and I'm convinced that's what helped us get our BFP!

First off, congrats to all those with recent BFPs! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!

A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

My doctor recommended that we BD on days 12, 14 and 16 of my cycle, assuming that I would be ovulating at some point during those days + or - two days on each end. I never knew when exactly I ovulated.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

We BD on day 12, and twice on day 15

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

Dont know exactly when I ovulated- but tested the day after AF was due (I have a 28 day cycle) and got the BFP

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
Started taking Folic Acid Vitamins (over the counter) and Multi V's daily about 6 months-1 year before I started TTC. Also, silly as it may sound, I did keep my legs /hips up inthe air after doing in the deed!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

First let me start off by saying DH &I tried for 13 months with all of the methods below. It wasn't until I stopped using tests and predictors that we got out BFP!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

--CBEFM and MMC, the cycle I conceived I used nothing just BD on the days that I O'd previous months.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

--BD on high fertility days. Plus fertile days.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

--I wasn't expecting a BFP so I tested when AF was a day late.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

--Prenatals.
--Went right to bed after BD, did not use the bathroom or anything!!!!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
I had guessed what time I would be ovulating around and happened to go for an annual at same time... Doc said cervix was wide open so I made sure to BD that same day... may have happened from that night

2. What was your BD schedule?
CD 13, 17 (annual on this day), 21 on a 28-35 day cycle

3. At how many dpo did you test?
Aproximately 12dpo for a bfp

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Apparently mom and grandma were fertile myrtles so I guess that was passed onto me... And DH believes he must have some optimal swimmers to get knocked up on the first month's attempt Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
I haven't been on BC for at least 5 years so I use My Monthly Cycles and I used CBE OPKs and Preseed every time

2. What was your BD schedule?
My cycles are long so we BDed every other day at least a week before positive opk then everyday until 4 days after positive opk

3. At how many dpo did you test?
Impulse test 7 and 8dpo negatives...9dpo faint BFP! 10dpo confirmed with digitals

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Only nighttime BDing and after I wouldn't get up until morning.

1. We tried temps, opks, i was on meds for hormonal imabalance due to a brain tumor, acupuncture
2. as the moment struck us. Then every day after OPK pos- we messed this up.
3. i tested at 17dpo. I was nervous and scared adn didnt feel symptoms of pregnancy or AF coming
4. I have been on prenatals for 1 1/2 years already. Just keep using them. I started exercising harder- i was trianing for a half marathon and a few 5k's. I was eating really well as well- cutout cheese, carbs, sweets almost completely. ( i love these items.) i have continued some of these- i have added in a few more carbs adn i dont avoid cheese like the plague.

1. What method did you use to TTC? OPK's
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) Everyday after the smiley for the next 3 days

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I tested at 17DPO and BFP. I didn't test earlier because I swore AF was coming, I had cramps and moodiness. I even went to the Fertility Dr. because this was our 18 month of TTC.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) Started taking Folic acid the month prior.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

Used FertilityFriend app on my phone to get a visual of my cycles and used OPKs (cheap Target brand). Good thing I did b/c according to those I O'd 2 days later than I believe I had been for the previous 3 months (was only tracking cycles those 3 months, we wern't trying yet).

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

starting with the first day of "fertile period" according to FF, pretty much 8 days in a row. We did take one day off- the day I got the positive OPK, then BD'd the next two days. Then it was a well-deserved break!!!

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I first tested SUPER early at 7 DPO and it was not surprisingly a BFN. I wasn't expecting a BFP at all but only tested because it was Christmas morning and how cool would that have been!!

Then I tested at 9 DPO, again not expecting anything but there was that faint line on a First Response!! (the kind that advertises can detect up to 6 days before your period). Of course I couldn't believe it so I got a EPT digital and there it was.

I had a few Dollar Tree tests that I used up just for experiment's sake. I did not get a BFP to show up on the dollar tree's until about 14 dpo.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I started taking prenatals in September, 3 months before we were actually TTC. I also am a firm believer in exercise and being good to your body. I'm a pretty healthy eater and avid exerciser and I really believe this affects other aspects of our bodies. I did prop a pillow under my butt after for the last 2 days we BD'd for about 10 minutes but I'm not convinced it was a contributing factor.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

We'd been using the CBEFM for five cycles with no success. We got PG with DD three years ago using the CBEFM for two months, so we didn't know what was going on. The month I got my BFP, the CBEFM didn't even show an egg! I had some backup ovulation strips from Amazon that showed I was ovulating, so we BD on those three days.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

See above. We BD 5-7 times during the previous months in which we were unsuccessful. This month, only 3 times.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I got 2 BFN's on 12DPO with a Clear Blue digital and an EPT (non digital). I got my BFP on the Clear Blue digital on Christmas morning (14DPO)!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I actually didn't take prenatals during the second half of this cycle; I read somewhere that this could help. This was also the first month we used Preseed, so I definitely think it helped. I also took Target brand Robitussem (pill form) twice a day during the days I had EWCM.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY......

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
I temped and tracked my EWCM

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
We BD'd on the day my temp dropped (CD10) and the day after (CD11)

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
I tested at 15DPO with a $.99 test and got a bright red positive line.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
We've been TTC for appx. 15 months and this was the first month I used Pre-Seed and got preggo. Even though I did get pregnant in August and suffered an early loss, I still attribute this pregnancy to Pre-Seed, it definitely helped. Also, I stressed A LOT less, as a matter of fact I was throwing in a towel and wasn't going to TTC anymore.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? I temped correctly for the first time this month, and also used non-digital OPKs.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g.,
Leading up to fertile time, CD21, CD27, CD28 (O day).

3. At how many dpo did you test?
11DPO got a faint line

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
We used Preseed which I think helped us a lot. Also, DH relaxed a bit more (got drunk) so he was able to overcome some performance anxiety.

3. At how many dpo did you test?

Didn't test until a 5 days before AF was due.. I was a royal b*tch all wknd and knew something was up..

4. Anything else that might have contributed? WINE and BEER!! haha.. and really - we said if it doesnt happen this month, lets just take a break - i think not worrying about it actually helped us.. we would have taken a break until the summer if we had no luck..

1. What method did you use to TTC?

used digital OPK's and line O tests (used a back up this month since the digital was wrong last month I think).

2. What was your BD schedule?

We bd'd the day of ovulation, and -2, -4, -7, and -8 days before O.

3. At how many dpo did you test?

at 10 & 11dpo-bfn, 12dpo, BFP!! faint line in the AM but positive digital by nighttime

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
It might have helped that when I was most fertile leading up to O it was my birthday weekend and I was pretty relaxed. I used preseed for the first time, took robitussin the day of O (felt like I had a cold), and had a massage the day before O. Took B6 a few times a week but not sure if that did anything.
