Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

I cant believe I finally get to do this!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
This month I did very little. I did temp. but didnt record CM, OPK or anything. Just temped to stay in the habit. I actually was trying NOT to get preggo this month since I had a dentist appt.

2. What was your BD schedule?

We only Chat Icon ONE time this cycle and it was 3 days before my O!

3. At how many dpo did you test? Tested at 10DPO (today)

4. Anything else that might have contributed? I do take prenatals, b12 vitamin, evening primerose though this last cycle I slacked off majorly. Also preseed.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to do this!Chat Icon

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? Used OPK

2. What was your BD schedule?

Every chance I got during the week I O'd. Wound up Chat Icon Almost every other day. I actually "felt" when I O'd and Chat Icon within 24 hrs. I made sure I layed in bed at least 20 min afterwards.

3. At how many dpo did you test? Since I had Wondfo cheapies, I tested from 1DPO on. I started getting the faintest BFP on 6DPO but could not confirm with a store bought FRER until 10 to 11dpo.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? Once I got the go-ahead from my doctors, we started Chat Icon . All I was taking was Belly Bar Chewable multi's. I didnt take DHA until after BFP.
I also avoided all stress, well as much as possible.
Hope this helps! G/L and Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you all!

ETA: I am hypothyroid and have it under control with synthroid for over 5 yrs.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

I never answered this either.....

1. What method did you use to TTC? temp'd, OPKs, tracked CM

2. What was your BD schedule? every single day from CD 8 on, until O was confirmed with temps and then one more day for good measure

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
9dpo with the Wondfo - FAINT BFP - next morning at 10dpo with Wondfo, CBED and FRER, all BFPs!

4. Anything else that might have contributed? BFP month was the first month using preseed. Also, was taking EPO and a Womens Ultra Daily Vitamin that had a fertility blend as part of it from Puritans Pride.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC? i temp'd briefly, tried OPKs one month and then DH got annoyed at me "trying too hard" so then i just tracked my CM

2. What was your BD schedule? based on my CM we wouild have sex every day or every other day for that week or so
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
i tested the day before i was due for my period. tested twice that day and once the next morning

4. Anything else that might have contributed? was taking pre-natal vitamins from Target. Also im not a big drinker so i wasnt drinking...i dont smoke or anything, basically just tried to stay as healthy as possible. and POSITIVE attitude!!

and as an adder...it took us 7 months and it was emotionally draining. i would cry and get depressed when it didnt happen. i found writing about the experience really helped me get through some tough times

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
Nothing really. Just took note of when I saw EWCM

2. What was your BD schedule?
Basically every other day until I saw the EWCM, then every day for a few days.

3. At how many dpo did you test?
My cycle was pretty weird this month, I think I ovulated later than I originally thought. I had EWCM late this month. So I believe I got a very, very faint + at 12DPO, faint again at 13DPO, faint AGAIN at 14DPO AM, then darker in the PM, confirmed with a digital. And I had negatives for days prior.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I take prenatal vitamins, but I don't think that contributed to my BFP at all. Its just for fetal-maternal well being.

Thank u to everyone who helped answer my questions, listen to my vents. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to all!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
Temp, OPK, 2 IUI's with Clomid.

2. What was your BD schedule?
It varied every month and the month we got our BFP it was only 2x.

3. At how many dpo did you test?
most months at about 10 DPO but the month we got our BFP was the day AF was due (appox 14 DPO)

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Took royal jelly and max greens the month we got our BFP but it wasnt until half way through the month so I have no clue if it helped. We also we set on starting IVF and I had stopped tracking everything and was soooooo relaxed that cycle.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
I temped, used opk's, did a modified version of deanna's plan, and used the cbefm (first month using it I got my BFP.)

2. What was your BD schedule?
We Chat Icon on cd 11, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19. I got my first high reading on the cbefm on cd 15 so we Chat Icon more until the high readings went back to low.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
I had a shorter lp since getting off the pill. I started testing at 7 dpo and got my bfp at 10 dpo.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I took prenantal vitamins and b6. I really think the cbefm was a huge factor in us getting a BFP!

*My cycle is usually 35 days*

1. What method did you use to TTC?

We BD CD9, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23. I believe I O'd on CD 22

3. At how many dpo did you test? (I tested on 10 DPO and got a wondfo positive and a digital 'Pregnant'.

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I put legs up after each time.

Ack, I can't believe I'm answering this! Chat Icon

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)

This was our first month using OPKs, before that we were just winging it.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)

We only BD'd on CD 13 and then on the first day we got a smiley on CD 19. That's it.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)

I tested 11 DPO with a super faint line, same thing on 12 DPO. BFP on 13 DPO

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

I've been taking pre-natals for a few months and we've been using pre-seed but that's it.

Best of luck to all of you in your TTC journey!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. We used the CBEFM for 3 months

2. BD every other day from 1st high reading thru 2nd peak day. Month we got BFP, I did not get any high readings, but noticed I had alot of EWCM so we BD then.

3. Tested 12 DPO the day AF was due and got a faint line. Took a digital test right after and confirmed BFP

4. We used pre-seed which I think helped. Nothing special about diet, no pre-natals. I am 37.- ETA- ST GERARD!!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?

ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor- 2nd month using it. (1st month with it I used OPK's to "back it up" to see if it was on target & it was. This month I didn't bother with the OPK's. Also, I was temping the last few months to pinpoint ovulation but this month I couldnt do that bc I was sick with a fever the days leading up to ovulation.

2. What was your BD schedule?

We BD'ed my 2 peak days & the high that followed. then skipped 2 days & BD again. (this is the least amount we've BD'ed since starting TTC!!!! Go figure!!!)

3. At how many dpo did you test?

Since I couldn't temp, I wasn't sure which day I ovulated so it was either 13 or 14 DPO. I wasn't planning on testing bc I figured I was out bc I had been sick & on meds during O. But I felt so tired & yucky that I gave in & tested and BOOM!!!!

4. Anything else that might have contributed?

I am def an advocate for the CBEFM.. I think that DEF helped! I take prenatal vitamins also. We did 3 different things this month:
1. I took FertileCM
2. DH took FertilAid
3. I held my legs in the air after BD (like I normally would) for 10 min or so and then laid on my stomach for 5 minutes, then back to legs in the air for another 5.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

Happy to be replying to this question for a 2nd time as this is my 2nd pregnancy. DD#1 is 14 mos...just got my BFP yesterday so DC#2 should be here end of April/early May....here goes:

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
- Got pregnant 2nd month trying...used CBEFM and OPK's. I only started the OPK's once I saw EWCM which was when I got high readings on the monitor.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
- Every other day once AF ended. Every day once I got a high reading on the monitor and continued every day through the peak readings - sometimes twice a day. I know they say too many times can be not a good thing - but it worked with DD#1 so we did it again this time...morning and night. Back to every other day for a few days after the peak readings then we stopped.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
- Tested 13 DPO and got my BFP.

4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
- I actually stopped my prenatals at the beginning of my cycle. I read somewhere on the TTC boards here that maybe too much of a certain B vitamin can delay ovulation. With my 1st pregnancy...I was taking the prenatals forever before even TTC. Once I went off BCP I had CRAZY long cycles. When I got pregnant with DD#1 I ovulated on cd53!!! So this time around - once I read that I thought maybe I'll try stopping the prenatals at the start of my cycles. So meaning I started taking them once I knew I ovulated. I have no idea if this helped me to have more regular cycles or not - but I did have much more normal cycles varying anywhere from 28 to 35 days.
Nothing else I can think of that contributed...just lots of Chat Icon and again - twice a day on peak days!!!

This isn't one of the questions but I want to share what I thought may have been symptoms during my 2WW this time around. I never wrote down any feelings or anything with my 1st pregnancy so I honestly couldn't remember if I had any symptoms.
So these past 2 weeks - things I thought I felt but also was wondering if it was all just in my head were:
-Sore breasts - just in the last day or so my bras actually felt tight. Like I couldn't wait to get home and rip my bra off!
- Got a very bad cold in the last few days. Very congested, mucusy.
- Have been STARVING like a ravenous pig. This is NOT something I felt the first time around this early...I do remember that. But honestly in the last week I just have been so, so hungry.
- Thick discharge.

Good luck to all!

I just thought about it & I was slacking off on my prenatals this month...only taking them here & there (partly bc I was discouraged I guess). I DID notice I ovulated earlier than normal! Wonder if this had anything to do with not taking the pre-natals regularly?!?!???

hmmm...that is interesting. I wonder too! Not sure we'll ever know - not sure any doctor would recommend not taking them while TTC. I'm not even telling my dr. that I purposely did this.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!

1. What method did you use to TTC?
Throughout our 10 months of TTC we tried soooo many things including the help of a RE. But on the month we actually conceived, we used Deanna's Plan.

2. What was your BD schedule?
We BD'd every other day until I got a Chat Icon on my OPK. Then we BD'd for 3 days straight, then we skipped one day, then we BD'd one last time.

3. At how many dpo did you test? Tested at 12 DPO

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
I do take prenatals and I used OPK's this time.

Good luck to everyone!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
Used clear blue easy ovulation predictor (smiley) Took temp (more because it was interesting to see what my temps did during this cycle then anything else). The temps and OPK really did match up!

2. What was your BD schedule?
Dy 5, 9, 11, 12(smiley/ovulated), 13, 17

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
DPO 9: Extremely faint + (FRER)
DPO 10: light + (FRER) and digital "pregnant"

4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Gummy prenatals?

Chat Icon

Edited to add symptoms during 2 week (or 10 dy wait)
Nothing really other then some strange cramping and metallic taste in my mouth (but I have had this with regular period cycles as well). I keep poking at my chest but it still doesn't hurt no matter how hard I try Chat Icon
