Do you think this is dressy enough?

Re: Yay or Nay-Dress for a black tie wedding

having just gone through this exercise myself, i'd say that it's too short

from what i can gather, for black tie weddings, the dress needs to be more formal than for a normal wedding - so the material needs to be nicer, length not as short and overall more elegant. Some people will say that you should only wear long gowns for black tie.. some say you can get away with cocktail length.

that dress is really cute, but it looks too short for black tie to me

ITA with everything

Adorable dress, but I'm not sure for a Black Tie Formal wedding.
I had a black tie wedding and have been to a few. I have worn fancy cocktail dresses and have worn gowns. EIther is ok, but I just don't think this one is dressy enough

The model is way taller than me so it would be longer on me lol
I just hate gowns on me since I am so short! Guess I will have to start looking again..But I already ordered this one ughh

It is 100% fine for the wedding. It's organza silk - totally dressy enough, and it won't be nearly as short on you.

I LOVE it, where is it from? I also have a black tie wedding in Sept. and I have been searching high and low and can't find anything to wow me. This is so pretty and elegant.

Re: Yay or Nay-Dress for a black tie wedding

I dont think it's fancy enough and I personally wouldn't dress such a short dress to a black tie.

I think its cute. Also depends on where the party is...
I'm sure they hemmed it as well.
You'll dress it up w/ accessories and a great bag.
