Nope. No way. JMO but I think it looks unprofessional on a job/college interview.

I have a lot of south Asian students that have nose rings, but for them it's a cultural thing. I think of that differently.

Nope. Dye your hair, sure, get a funky haircut, be my guest, but no extra holes or tattoos that young.

if my 15 year old was an overall good kid and doing exceptionally well in school i would consider it.

but i am also the mom who is considering letting my 5 year old dye the ends of her hair pink this summer lol (its a wash out and will be cut off by the time she starts school)

I am a pretty laid back mom. I will admit I am considering it. My daughter is in the top of her class, 13th out of 425 students in her grade. She is exceptional in all ways, so I didn't see the harm in it. Obviously that's the only thing I'd let her pierce besides her ears.

I agree. I used to have one (I was a bit older). By the time adult, real life jobs came into the picture I felt it was time to come out anyway.

Re: Would you let your 15 year old...

If DS wanted to, I probably would, but not DD. It's not sexist, it's just that if DS did it, I would tease him about it constantly until he decided to change his mind (or take it out if he actually got it). DD is stubborn enough that she would keep it no matter what I did.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Would you let your 15 year old...

I would, but not at 15. 16 maybe we'll talk. I'd also have to consider her grades and, overall maturity. Of course, I'm sure DH would be against it so she'd have to convince him.
