Would you...

So you're walking in a strip mall parking lot on a winter evening (around 7). A guy calls you over asking for a favor. He is holding 2 dunkin donuts cups and wants to know if you'll flip his mitten top over his fingers for him. Do you..

1) do the neighborly thing and oblige this odd request?

2) make a run to your car pretending not to have heard him
For fear this is a ploy to drag you into a van?

3) tell him you think he's perfectly capable on solving this little problem on his own?

4) other - I'd love to know what you would have said in this bizarre situation

I'd pretend I didn't hear him.

Knowing the way I am, I'd probably drive past him on my way out of the lot and scream a bunch of obscenities at him too..

2. Can't he use his teeth?

If I'm able to juggle keys/purse/cell phone and multiple children's hands while walking through a parking lot without asking for help, I'm sure he can manage too.

Re: Would you...

2, but head into the nearest storefront where it would be safer than trying to get to my car alone.
Very strange request.

2. You mean to tell me he couldn't be without his mittens in for the 2 seconds it takes to get into his car?. Come on. in the time it takes to call someone over and explain his creepy asss request he could have been in his car.

Re: Would you...

2! My father would tell me to get away from a man asking a woman for help in public because a grown man understands the fact that he is a stranger and he should be asking someone in a store for assistance. I know it sounds old fashioned but I agree with it.

The only other option besides a creepy one is that maybe he was flirting? I wouldn't have even been able to think of that because I would have ran.

Re: Would you...

um, definitely 2.

Unfortunately, this world is a crazy place and I don't trust many people. The way I see it, I could survive without my finger tips covered for a minute, no reason a grown azz man couldn't do the same. If it was that serious to get them covered, put on of the cups down for a second.

Re: Would you...

Strip mall parking lot alone in the dark?

2 without a doubt.

If my car was far and literally no one else was around, I might even turn around, go back into a store, and ask security to walk me to my car.

I don't take chances with that stuff.
