Wine Yes or no?

Have you had any wine during your pregnancy?

I am almost 17 weeks and I know some ppl say its ok after your first but it scares me!

I told DH only a little on NYE He doesn't even want me to do that!

SO i wanted to see if you girls have or have not.

I haven't yet, but I will probably have some champagne on NYE. Wine gives me migraines, so that is more the reason I avoid it.

I haven't had any but I did have a sip or two of DH's sangria

I sip from DH's cup, at most I've had 5 sips in one day, but I only care for it when its a great red wine, and that doesn't come frequent.

i haven't.. i just have no desire really.. not a big fan of wine, or alcohol at all.. so its easy for me!

i havent yet (16w on friday).

not sure if im ever going to, but if i do...prolly just a sip or two here or there for certain occassions later on.

i miss wine & cheese w/my good friend and cocktails...but i figure better to be safe.

eta - if anything just a sip of wine...no hard alcohol at all.

I was never a wine (or any kind of alcohol) person so I don't miss any of that. However, my pregnant BFF is a doctor herself and said that her OB has said that a bit here and there is not going to do anything. I would just check with your doctor first.

I had a glass of red wine at one point and a sip here and there of DH's when he has it.

I didn't enjoy it though when I had it - it gave me horrible heartburn.

yes, i have a drink about once every 2 weeks. usually a glass of wine or a pint of beer. that's just an average though - sometimes i'll have wine 2 weeks in a row, and then go 6 weeks without a drink. (i'm also referencing my pregnancy with DS).

i do, however, avoid alcohol in the 1st tri (although i did make a rare exception like when i had 1/2 glass of wine at a wedding at 8 weeks this time around).

i keep saying "oh i iwll have as glass atleast on my 30th bday" but my dh already knows i wont... i cant bring myself to do any of the could be safe stuff... so no wine, no hair dye, no nails.... i cant wait until january

I had a glass of wine here and there while PG -
Maybe 5 or 6 in total .......

It's all about your comfort level

I've had literally 4 sips of wine/alchohol. 2 on one night and 2 about a week later. I'm 17 weeks, these were at 15 & 16 weeks. I was a drinker before the pregnancy. Not a drunk, but I like my wine with a good meal or a few beers/cocktails when I'm hanging out.

I don't feel comfortable drinking now tho. I know they say a glass here or there won't hurt, and that's it actually good for you. I'm just saving that glass until I really want it!

I think I will def have a few sips of champagne on NYE!

I enjoy my wine and beer when not PG, that being said when PG with DS I probably consumed four half glasses of wine the whole pregnancy (not four and a half, four halves all on seperate occassions) so far with this pregnancy I have had half a glass twice. One at a good friends wedding at 10 wks and one at my favorite italian restaurant the other night. I'm almost 17 wks.

No, none for me.

Occasionally, if I am acting in the capacity of beer wench for my DH, I'll sneak a sip before I hand it to him but other than that no alcohol.

I can't wait to have a big cocktail to celebrate the birth of the baby.

I've had sips.....but never a full blown glass.

I am not a big wine drinker I like beer which has been a craving of mine.

So Yes to beer, no to wine.

I have drank a beer maybe three different occasions (one of them I had 2!).

I had a sip of champagne at my BF's wedding when I was 9 weeks and also had 2 glasses of wine before I knew I was pregnant @ 3 weeks.

I consider having wine- having a full glass- one sip is not going to do anything! And neither is a glass, but to me one glass is a tease which is why I don't have any, not even a sip.


ETA- I will most likely be having a glass of guiness on st. patty's day!
