I have an app on my phone that tells me all of the random holidays...there are a lot of them.
Today is International Plant Appreciation Day
National Peach Cobbler Day
Scrabble Day
I like it...every day is a holiday. Every day is something to celebrate. I think it's a nice way to look at things.
And I use the holidays to write on the board in my classroom every day to capture my students' attention. They love them...and it forces them to look at the board to see what we're doing every day.
. I like your perspective and reminder. It's so easy to get caught up in the nonsense FB often becomes.

Seems like a lot of people have reading comprehension issues these days, maybe we should spend less time on FB  NervousNell was simply asking WHERE these days came from, not b!tching about the fact that they exist.
. Well, this IS LIF after all. 
Something would be wrong if the majority of posters didn't put in their 2 cents.

I loved it. Since my siblings are all scattered about and one isn't speaking to me due to distance while the other just doesn't bother due to lazy. It was nice to reach out and say hey.. *I* remember you!

I try to be positive about it since I want my daughter to one day feel like that for me, but for me its just annoying as hell.
Don't even get me started on the religious stuff. I have two 'friends' who post the pope's twitter message every single day. One does it twice! LOL
Facebook.. the land of random! but whatever. Its just the internet. For me it was nice to tag my sister and brothers who usually just think I'm that way too much older sister! LOL
