When you drive in the car...
If your DC is in the car with you - do you play kids music or your own music?
My DD is too young to "listen" to any kiddy songs, so what do I play??

I sing to keep my DD quiet...otherwise she roars her head off..thinking of putting her CDs in there to give me a rest....so the answer is ..her music..

I use to play kiddie music when I just had my DS #1 and he was into the Wiggles and Laurie Berkner. Now we mostly play adult music, which they enjoy alot too, they know the words to alot of adult songs, which is pretty darn cute. Our latest thing is listening to some Curious George CDs that they received for Christmas.

lately I've been listening to her Baby Bach, Mozart, etc...kinda because they relax me  but if DH is in the car then we listen to regular music.

I pretty much listened to baby music with her from the beginning. We used to listen to this winnie the pooh CD a lot. Now I have a ton of her songs on my ipod on her own playlist and I play that in the car. there are some dane zane songs mixed in as well as some disney soundtrack songs and it's good listening IMO. I actually enjoy it myself and I love when a song comes on that she really likes and she "sings" along.

DH found a classical channel he puts on. While I was preggo, Josh moved around a lot to the dixie chicks, so I play that when its the two of us

I play my own music right now. Christopher really seems to like music with a good beat. Occasionally if Kaylee's upset, I put on a Baby Einstein CD and that usually calms her down.

I switch between mine and his.
When I was pregnant, there was this one CD that we played all the time with the ***** Cat Dolls, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, and other stuff. When he would get a little fussy in the car, we found that putting that CD on, he would calm down immediatly. It was if he remembered hearing it from my womb

I play both. Mostly mine. Patrick is getting old enough that he likes songs on the radio. But if he gets whiney I put on his Ralphs World cd. The 3 of them love it & I like it as well.

Adult music, I was tempted to buy a child's cd of music but then I realize that it is bad enough I have the noggin songs in my head and wake up with some elephant song in my head that I dont need to be listening to it in the car too.

I always play a Sesame Street CD, Laurie Berkner and a personalized one that my sisters had made for my son when he was 2. Sometimes I'll try to play my Dreamgirls CD. My son loves to sing "We Are a Family".
