When signing a business email....
...what do you use?
I always use Thank you.
Thank you, My Name
Or if it's informal- like a quick reminder to my employees to get their reports in or whatever or to my boss asking about something quick, I use Thanks.
I noticed lately a few people have been using Best.
Best, Jane
I am not a fan of that. Whenever I read it I think to myself -best what? Best wishes? Is that what it's short for? It just seems incomplete.
Just curious what others use.

Either "Thanks" or "Thank you", depending on formality.

Re: When signing a business email....
Thank you/Thanks
I sign "Best" when I'm not really thanking someone for anything in the email.

Re: When signing a business email....
Thanks or Rgds if casual. With Kindest Regards if formal.
Best by itself is odd. It is as if something is missing.
Rgds is a throwback to the telex days. Yeah, I'm that old.

Re: When signing a business email....
I use 'Thank you' or 'thanks' for informal emails.
I will use 'regards' if I have said 'thank you' in the body of the email i.e. 'Thank you for returning the partially executed agreement ....'

Yes I feel like it's incomplete with just "Best," Like Best what? Best Regards? Best Wishes? Finish the thought!

It might be because I can't stand this one girl who uses it- so maybe it's clouding my opinion- but YES!!!
Or maybe it sounds like something they would use in another country? Like I can see using Best in the UK for some reason.

When signing a business email....
my default signature is
Regards, My Name. My Position
if it's a quick email, then it depends on the body of the email... sometimes i just put the short version of my name. no thanks, no nothing... just "Liz"

I do exactly the same, but sometimes I think I should use something else - like maybe Regards. Glad to see so many others use Thanks

Re: When signing a business email....
I know someone who starts every email with "I hope this email finds you well" but it doesn't matter if its her 10th email of the day to you

They close out a lot of emails with 'Cheers'
I use Regards or Kindest regards (if it's someone that is kind of annoying me, lol).
